Yeah....
http://providence.craigslist.org/msg/214694386.html
$10 each, even though they don't work...I'm going to use them as props for my bands music video and if they aren't worth a lot, I'll buy some cheap mics and gut them for these.
What do you guys think?

Why would you pay $10 each for mics that dont even work?
Wouldn't it just make sense to use your current mics?
can't see the post but:
if they are GOOD mics, buy em' and fix them up!

He said he wanted them for music video props. If that was worth $20 to him, then I don't see the problem.
If he manages to repair them, I'd call that a bonus.

Haha
They were only $10. Not like I spent my life savings on them.

Yeah but dude, like you really need prop's for a music video?
Use your normal mics?

Oh, it was deleted, I just realized that.....
The vocal mic is a Shure....
Not a deal eh?
The average selling price is about $160.
Also, I looked at it and the cable is frayed in one small part and I think that's why the mic doesn't work. It has a special cable for it.
Not bad

Sorry about that.
Alrighty, when I link to the site it gives an error. You can find it by searching Shure 55sh
http://www.axemusic.com sells for $240 but it's probably extremely overpriced
Musicians Friend has $159

still seems a waste to me but what whatever, yeah they look cool but I would rather save the $10 a piece you spent and used our current mics

I would'nt risk it.
They look cool, like I give a damn, chances are they can't be fixed cheaply.
I would rather have mics that sound good rather than look cool.

He's not risking anything. It's a damn prop. Using that in a video would look 10x better than some regular sure mic.
+ If he can't get it to work he could use it for something else...

if he were to use it for something else he WOULD be risking getting some kind of infection... afterall it IS used
