Another head thread

so,

Im prolly gonna buy new heads in the near future. this means 3-4 days. Im just getting confused what to get....i've had coated emps for 1½ years and i think i wanna try something else.

So im gonna get clear ambs as resos and was thinking of clear emps as batters. I would like a nice sound out of my drums...i mean like i want my drum to sing but low....i cant describe what i want...so what do you say?

in my experience, I've got my smooth white emps (which are closer to coated then clear) to sound lower and sing out more then my clear emps.

You might want to try out Clear CS Dots.

You can get the most, and lowest tone out of 1 ply over 1 ply heads.

I believe they're the clear 1-ply heads with the ring on 'em.

That's what I'm leaning towards getting next time I get heads.
I've got clear Ambs right now - don't care for 'em a whole lot.

i've always wanted to try a 1 ply over 1 ply on my 16in floor tom clear/clear. i have g2s over g1s clear and it already sounds awesome resonant and deep.

i say to TS: if you wanna play it save go g2s over g1s clearclear, if you are BOLD! go with g1s over g1s clearclear!!
