So I drove three hours round trip to pick up this bass today. The exchange was done outdoors. Everything went ok. I get it home and pull it out of the bag and it smells like paint. I look at it and sure enough there is some orange peel. Anyone who has owned a MIJ fender knows that the finishes are perfect. I call the guy and start in with all the normal stuff that adults do to handle conflict when they are too out of shape to really start punching, and got some money back, but not everything. It feels and sounds fine, but I don't want it.
So,

First $220 takes this puppy home:

the paint on the neck is stock. The body has a fleck finish that kind of shows in the first picture.

yes, I have taken a no-citrus vow.

orange peel is when paint doesn't look smooth, it's got a really faint texture, like an orange peel. Almost all new cars have it because of what the EPA did to paint thinner in that industry. older cars were near perfect.

Hmm. I'm a little interested in this. Would it be $220 shipped in the US?

I'll pay half shipping. I usually get them boxed up pretty good by a pro.
