ok so i desided to convert Canon (the classic piano song) sheet music to bass guitar tabbliture on guitar pro and it took forever. then i realized that it got up to the 26th fret on the first string which renders it useless as my bass is a 4 sting 22 fret bass. so i got kinda frustrated so im asking u guys if u hav the tabs to a tapping version of this song. Ive seen a kid on youtube play it on a 4 string. or at least u could give me some insight on how i could could play it differently to avoid those high frests and low strings.

well look at the music, if you have nothing lower than an A or Gflat then just move everything down

I'm going to be assuming that you are referencing to "Canon In D" by Pachelbel seeing as a canon is a type of piece.
I have never seen anyone really do a tapping piece for this, but I know that tri3ze did, and he is a part of this forum. I, actually, just saw his piece.
Just for future reference:
Strict counterpiont in which each voice exactly imitates the previous voice at a fixed distance.
To Afrokid: In a video on YouTube, a kid did play harmonics for some high notes for "Canon In D", but it was his own personal arrangement, apparently.

yes i was meanin "Canon in D". the piece i was transcribing from had jsut titled it "Canon" "by Pachelbel". so i titled it that in here. it is in d though. so would u guys suggest it in C? as better? however there are some low notes in there but are only a bass played with the treble octave or double octave, so it could be changed to a different octave or omitted.

http://download.yousendit.com/5DB60EC80448E252 you need a 6 string with 25 fretts to play it :/ theres a tab incase anyone actualy has a 6 string with 25 fretts, im gona work on it abit more tomorow to see if i can get round the frett issue.
its only the **** dissonent annoying bits wich seem to need 25 fretts any way though so its still worth learning the rest i recon.

that kid plays it in d. i can see the main chords but im curious about his variations--the ones before he gets fast--anyways, they fit on his fretboard and he only has 19 frets.
