I know more about music than anyone in PP and no one has ever taught me anything.
Except for for Buddy (Scott). Although I don't think he knows who I am, and he doesn't post in PP.
And Jess, for convincing me to get some Streetlight, which got me more into ska.
I remember I used to give everyone so much music. Then I just couldn't find new bands after that. The bands I would have suggested a year ago are pretty much the same I'd suggest now.

Actually most people who post here don't even listen to pop-punk and I'd venture to say that at least 3 of us have almost the exact same taste as you but with more variety.

Mogwai

Plain White Ts
Islands
At the Drive in
City Heat
American Football

To be honest I don't really see a lot of variety in that list, but that's just me. I do agree with you, however, about how most people here listen to the exact same **** but if they like it and don't want to explore other musics that's their choice.

That's like 3 or 4 genres, I wouldn't say it's a huge variety, I'm quite sure Vince, Adam and Joel all listen to a lot more different kinds of music although I'm less sure about Joel.
The people that just listen to lame pop-punk like that (aside from early TBS) I make fun of so :/
I'm starting fights because everyone here is being super gay lately like they're so musically inclined and everything when they aren't even close at all. Some moreso than others even.
Pretty much yeah, that's why it's buging me that so many people are so full of themselves =[

Who exactly defines what variety is? Louise Cyphre is quite different from Islands, my friend.
So yeah, I don't see why you're arguing with me here. You're saying that my assertion (that's well backed and supported by other members on this forum, nonetheless) that people here have a centralized taste in music and tend to not get into/listen to new bands offered to them is wrong (go ahead and look at any "check out this new band" thread since Jan of 06 and show me a lot of discussion from most members on here that's actually about the band and they begin to listen to the band on an at-least semi regular basis and I'll take back my words) and that I listen to music with little variation, assuming everyone in the world has the same idea on what variation is, ignoring the fact you pulled this assumption and this assertion out of your ***? Sweet.
gtfo :p
That's like 3 or 4 genres, I wouldn't say it's a huge variety.
Who says 3-4 completely different genres (indie, skram, jazz, and mellow/ambient) isn't a variety? I didn't even say huge variety. Hell, I never said variety first. You did.

In real life, i know alot about music.
yay me.
but seriously.
i listen to stuff like.
ska-dub-raggae-jazz-street punk- punk- folk punk- swing- Hardcore ( 80s/ post hardcore)- even indie and emo kinda stuff. OH.. maybe pop punk once and awhile.
Diversity sucks, WHITE POWER!
/tasteless joke.
I'm central minded and I know it. I do like and listen to lots of punk and it's subgenres, and then ska and it's subgenres, but for the most part that's all I really listen to. If it's cool to like diverse music then yay, I'm uncool. But no-way am I listening to things I don't like cuz it's cool. I give things a chance, but if something sucks I can usually tell after a few minutes if it isn't straight up obvious.
Each to his/her own tbh. I still like Oz's point months ago that he only has 2 genres: good music and bad music. He only listens to one of those genres. Which reminds me, I need to give him a slap and get him back on here.
Anyway, enough of me being up on my high horse. The heavy heavy monster sound calls, and I must go.
