Haven't seen a Soundgarden thread on MX.

Anyway i love this band, have been one of my favourites since early high school. I have recently been revisiting them since i have started being able to play their songs on guitar :p. Rusty Cage and Fell on Black Days ftw there.

Anyway any other SG fans?

I am they're one of my favs, and were just a brilliant band, SU and BMF are 2 absolutely brilliant albums, DOTU and LTL aren't bad either :p

oh and ther eis either an SG thread (but it died like all the grunge threads) or the talk went on in the grunge thread and audioslave threads :-/

Good band. Louder Than Love is my favourite.

They are one of my favourites, some of the old stuff is a bit dodgy, namely Circle Of Power. But they did have some really awsome songs on every album.
Also, plenty of their lines are quite clever. One of my favs is :It's raining icepicks on your steel shore" from Rusty Cage

I love BMF so much, even more than SU. I haven't listened to them in a good time though.

I quite like their earlier stuff, some of its my favourite Soundgarden. Took me a long time to really like it much though. I had friends who didn't believe the had released stuff in the 80s because they were part of the grunge scene lol.

Down on The Upside is their most underrated album i reckon. I been listening to that a lot recently, songs like Zero Chance and Dusty have a unique mood about them.

I love Soundgarden but I find some of their songs are fairly mediocre. I absolutely love their slower, sludgier songs like Mailman. Superunknown and Badmotorfinger are my 2 favourite albums.

I love Mailman, but $th of July beats it hands down in the slow & sludgy category. Hell, that song approaches doom metal its so bleak and sluggish.

Soundgarden whoo

Amazing band

Just bought SU for my mates birthday and got back into it myself

BMF / SU and DOTU are amazing albums, the songs are all extremely well crafted

'And all the sky went silent, cracked like glass and slowly tumbled to the ground'

I love Soundgarden, I like their slow songs. Like Head Down, Limo Wreck, 4th of July, you know. Superunknown is an awesome album. :)

Anyone else love Slaves & Bulldozers?Me! That song is my favourite off Blackmotorfinger. I tried tabbing it at one stage but got bored and gave up.

Me! That song is my favourite off Blackmotorfinger. I tried tabbing it at one stage but got bored and gave up.

It has some pretty fantastic guitar lines, but what really wins me over is Chris Cornell's incredible performance. One minute hes singning, the next screaming at the top of his lungs.

I wish Kim Thayill would start another project, there were rumours about one a few years ago with Kyuss' old drummer but it seems nothing ever happened.

The only Soundgarden song I really don't like it Kickstand and that's because it's too punky for my liking.
