Power Metal band Iced Earth recently added Ernie Carletti as their second guitarist and police in Newark, Delaware have recently added him to a prison cell.

Police say on May 22nd, 2003, 31-year-old Ernie Carletti allegedly kidnapped a 19-year-old woman at gunpoint in east Newark, drove her to a remote location, and then he sexually assaulted her.

Lieutenant Thomas LeMin says the arrest on Carletti was made yesterday in Elkton. He is charged with six counts of first-degree rape, one count of first-degree kidnapping, and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.

Carletti waived extradition in Cecil County district court and is being held at the Howard Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington on $355,000 bail.

Anyway that may change the course of the band and lead them to make more sexually assaulting lyrics or something.

They are (were) an awesome band. I can't believe someone from such a popular band would do this. I wouldn't be surprised now if 60 Minutes or some **** makes a completely biased special about the violence of metal bands based on this one crime.

Did you catch that death metal show on the discovery channel?


It was about murders that are 'linked' to death metal. It was really stupid, it didnt help the publics opion of death metal much.

Yeah, but I was more refering to the bands that have written lyrics not related to the over used and just stupid topic of how much they think god sucks.
