tascam midi studio 688

so my bassist's cousin gave us a butt-load of equipment such as mics mic stands guitar and mic cables etc. etc. He topped it all with an 8-track recorder called a Tascam Midi Studio 688. My question is this.....HAS ANYONE USED THIS THING?!?!?! We are having the hardest time trying to figure the damn thing out. Has anyone had any experiences with it? If so please PLEASE tell.

try the tascam website, there might be a manual you can download to help you. ive used a fair few 8 track but not that one, but they're usually pretty self explanitory.
