Ey. So like, I'm going down south soon to a capital city and I have some money to spend and want to get a new addition to my kit. I'm talking ANYTHING, here - sticks, heads, cymbals, clamps, stands, boom arms, pedals... whatever.

Here's a pic of my kit at current time:

Excuse the blurryness - the camera was on some hardcore setting which needs a tripod and my hands shake like Lime when he's on the toilet, so yeah.

So any ideas? I'm open to anything.

I currently have...

Cymbals:
PAISTE 502's
2 x 16" Crashes
14" Hats
20" Ride

WUHAN
18" China

Drums:
10" Tom
12" Tom
16" Floor Tom
14" Snare
10" Snare

DW 7000 Double-pedal foshizz.

So yep.

Upgrade what you arent satisfied with.

If you feel no need to upgrade cymbals then perhaps hardware?

Guess so, ay. What do you recommend for Cymbals? I want to get Sabian, but I'm not too sure. I guess new Hats would be nice. But maybe I need more crashes...

I would check out the Sabian site for sound, but it's bloody down.

For hats - I want fast response, a very tight and crisp sound when closed, but a very penetrating, not too washy sound, when open. Wouldn't mind some 13" too, if they're good.

Maybe I should pick up some splashes too?

i say you should upgrade those 502's before you start getting effects. Try some Zildjian New Beats as hats, you would like them, also quick beast and a-cust. mastersounds could be for you, go try out

My suggestion for cymbals:
13" New Beats
21" HHX Groove Ride
wait abit and then buy a nice mediumy crash, maybe a 17" 2002

On ebay you can get Wuhan Splashes dirt cheap, maybe $30au for a 12" at buy it now.

It seems you don't think you don't have a bas drum  Anyway, obviously cymbals, but new heads? Get some sticks for free if you get a large order!

Buy your gear realistically. Once you have the gear you need, save your money.

You never know when your parents put you up for eviction.

I've got to agree with British Boy here. Buy what you only want. If you don't know then don't buy things what we say. We can give advice and you can make a decision, but save save save! :)

I recommend getting a cymbal if you want to upgrade something. I would personally go with hihats first, ride/crashes, but that's upto you. There's so many to choose from though, Maybe HHX Evo hats? Too expensive?

Maybe AAX stage hats?

Haha thanks for the shout out to me in your first post.

Anytime. :p

So this morning I headed over to Buzz Music, and they are a Zildjian dealer, and they had a good selection of cymbals, and they had a hats-holder thing. I checked it out - Mastersounds, A Customs... but no new beats, despite it being listed on the cabinet. :( Oh well, guess they're out of stock.

I'll check out stores when I'm down south and see if I can get a good deal, I guess. Thanks for all the advice!

For hats, try out the 13" Paiste Sig Sound Edges. A little pricy, but totally worth it.

Otherwise, go for New Beats. They're essentially the common standard for hats, and although I'm not big on them, they might fit the sound you're looking for.
