Greetings all, saying hi from New Brunswick in Canada!
Ive just finished the ProMark tour in Houston, Texas, and in a few hours Ill be hitting the Sabian factory. I have so much great stuff to share with all of you.

Aww, you should've come and said hi will you were down here in Texas. I toured Pro-Mark a few months ago, too. Very nice factory. Small but nice.

Yeah there have been heaps of freebies! The best thing has to be the people though - Everyone is so kind to us, we feel almost like royalty! (theres 10 of us on this trip)
I have taken about 300 pictures so far, met all the ProMark family and in about 2 hrs Ill be at the sabian factory. They gave me an AWESOME welcoming gift, which youll all see and hate me for when I post the pics.
I spoke to Maurie Brockstein (ProMark) and I have to send him the factory pics first, just so Im not giving any huge secrets away, but Ill be writing up detailed reviews of both factories once I get back. I might even post them up here.

Where abouts is it? Ive been in Frederiction the last two days, staying at the Delta Hotel - Its where we're all based at the moment. We leave tomorrow.
Im heading back to the Sabian Vault today to work on some more custom cymbals. The people there are amazing! I spent the whole afternoon with the Zildjian family - Bob Zildjian is THE funniest and coolest man alive!
Re cymbals - Ive already made a very interesting set of hats that Andy Zildjian wants me to jokingly call 'Battle Hats' (or with a Norwegian heavy-metal accent "Yaah, Baahtle Haahts" They consist of a 10" Radiia hat bottom as the top hat, over a 10" Bell Disc. they are excruciatingly hi-pitched and weigh about as much as my ride :)
Ive taken around 500 photos I reckon, so there will be no shortage of snaps for you all. However, obviously some of the photos will need to be approved before I can go plastering them all over an internet forum.
Apparently tonight we may be headed to a night spot called 'Doolans'(sp?) - Its right near Nicky Zees. We may not be there long though Ive gotta conserve some energy for the flights home. I didnt sleep for about 50hrs when we first arrived, so Im just about collapsing from the exhaustion.
Anyway, breakfast time - Delta hotel style!

^Yes he does, because hes created them for himself!
They will be labelled 'prototype' (except for the Battle Hats, which may be marked as '10" Ya Battle Hats'. I have also made custom splashes and completely messed up a radia chime, relathed it, hammered the crap outta the bell and shortened it to 9" to create "Hells Bell" :) Master craftsman Charlie Brown hammered the cymbal for me and Dave Williams helped me match all my cymbals together. Its amazing watching him work, he just knows cymbals sounds like you wouldnt believe! He also selects cymbals for top-name endorsees. I felt very special!
Anyway, Im being taken out to see the night life tonight on the main street. There are about 3 clubs in all, and Im sure ill feel very old in all of them :)
From there its back on the plane for 2 days of flying to get me back home!

Damo, I assume since you're endorsed that you're not paying for these cymbals.
Is there a limit on how many you can get them to make you on this trip? Or is it just a "as many as you can think of in the time you're here" kind of thing?

That is great Damo, many get memories you'll have with yourself forever. A lucky man to get the chance to do all this but you've earned it. I can't wait for the pictures. Too bad you can't just post all 500, it would keep me busy for awile. Hope all goes well with the rest of the trip and the plane ride home!
