Fishing

Does anyone fish here? Either leisure or for sport. I've loved it all my life, and just starting again with my dad. There's a few stocked lakes around here we've been going to. It's my first time with freshwater, as I used to mainly do beach fishing and river (brackish) fishing.

A friend and I used to fish every weekend, loved it but I had to be the least lucky fisherman on hte planet.

Heh, I always see it like this. Going out and relaxing is already great, and catching something is a bonus.

True, I did have plenty of brilliant weekends doing it with no fruits to show for it.

The best I ever caught was a tiny Tench, about 3 inches long.

My biggest was a Black-Tip shark that was about 3-4 feet long. I was only like 12 when I caught it, haha. I've got a picture around here somewhere of me beside it. If I find it i'll scan it.

I leisure fish but I really don't have the patience for it. I usually give up after 10 minutes or reel in immediately after casting. I haven't caught anything longer than like 6".

I love getting out and fishing. I usually dont catch much, but I still think its a great time, just to get out and see places I normally wouldnt.
