Yesterday I was in town and I decided to take my guitar and FX board into the music store and test out some amps, and when I got in there, my arch enemy Lauchlan was in there, playing an acaustic and walking around like he owned the store. I pretended to ignore him, and plugged my rig into a Roland amp.
I was playing for about 30 seconds before he came up behind me and said:

"Thought I heard your incoherant 'thrushing', what are you doing in here?"

"Incoherant's a pretty long word for in inbred-sheep-lover," I replied," I'm looking at amps to play real music on, not this tree hugging country crap you play"

"And I see you're still playing that heap of crap," he said, pointing to my guitar, a strat copy, "You play punk and metal, why don't you get a Les Paul?"

"Heap of crap???? You just think electics are crap because they haven't discovered electricity where you live."

"And you havn't discovered guitar lessons yet, you can't play, go and get a job you useless peice of crud"

With that I got utterly pissed off, and I cranked my guitar and started with a Van Halen squeal, hit a low E power chord and all of a sudden, my pick hand went ballistic, as well as my fingers. I worked up the 7th frets, sliding up and down the neck, divebombed and found myself on the 20th fret on the b string, doing the fastest vibaro I've ever heard.
I finished with a E powerchord and when I looked up the shopowner, Ray, just said "holy ****" and dropped his coffee mug.
I unpluged my rig and walked out of the store, feeling pretty **** spunky.
So yeah, now that I know I can do it, my playing has never been better.
Just thought I'd let you all know that I've reached my peak...I think.
