I guess a low score is what you get for submitting something that is a love/hate kind of experiment.

Maybe if I submit a generic song for this next month I could get a little higher up there. :) ;) :p :naughty:

Anyway, congratulations everyone. Moses did deserve it.

GG to Nightbringer.

PS: Moses, you better pick something good for next month, I'm really hoping I'll get my POD by then so I can record something free of latency.

Kage - I liked your song the best. Even though I didn't vote, I liked the atmosphere. So shut up about it.

I think I'm going to participate next genre... unless it's some bizarre thing, or a theme I don't feel strong about. I need to learn how to use drum programming.

Congrats to the winners.

Good efforts everyone.

I will do my best to participate in the next one as well, although I can't promise anything...I've got a lot of stuff going on.

Then again, it seems that I always find the time, so we'll see.

Am I not allowed to be a little bitter every once in a while? ;)

I honestly don't care. I've shown my Poordunce material (including that song) to several people outside of MX and I've gotten responses ranging from "I love it" to "it's great art" to "that's not even music, it's trash" to "this sucks dick" to "woooahhhhh." It's the kind of music I'm making that elicits a love/hate response. I'm used to it. It's also really self-indulgent.

Actually, now that I think about it, I'm going to go add a bunch of smilies to my first post so people don't go getting all pissed off about it.

That said, I'm glad you like it.

Anyway, congratulations everyone. Moses did deserve it. Yeh thats the problem.Althougth this was an exception, its usually the safe generic stuff that does does well which is a shame as it stops variety.

Im happy i came 5th as it was my first proper full song. And its even nicer there wasnt much at all between 3-5.

You've actually inspired me to write something in the 1.5 step scale using like, every effect I own.

Thanks guys for the congrats. I know what I'm picking for the next theme/genre but I have to get into my email, which is hard to do at school at the moment.

Jake, what do you mean by 1.5 scale? You mean the diminished scale or diminished chord tones? Kages song was in the whole tone scale.

I took it to mean, like 1.5/10 points. I used the whole tone and the Gmajor scale for a mode of D Dorian.

I've got some great ideas for this next month, I just hope the genre is something I can work with.
