What's the scariest movie you've ever seen?

Me.. Halloween, because I saw it when I was young and it creeped me out (and also had good music)

Please be a joke. Scream is more horrific than that, and that's going overboard. My list would currently be....but I don't get scared by films as such

The Shining
Full Metal Jacket
Hellraiser etc
The Phantom of The Opera
Evil Dead
Alien

The score to the Halloween movies has always been the best part.

I don't tend to get scared by movies that are supposed to be scary. Mulholland Drive left me feeling disturbed for weeks however.

I like that sort of film though, so no harm adding it to my list :)
the camera work is interesting too, if you like that kind of thing

For a modern movie Silent Hill creeped me out.

There are lots of old ones but I can't remeber any at the moment.

man i loved the camerawork in that movie, mainly when he falls into the puddle, and the camera zooms and spirals in on him from above

The Nightmare on Elm Street film series freaked me out as a kid.

Especially the one where Freddy hypnotizes the kid to walk to the TV set and comes out and smashes his head into the screen.

Nowadays I don't get scared, rather I get creeped out.

Shining
Ju-On
Silent Hill
Tale of Two Sisters
Audition

some of those aren't technically scary/horror, they just creeped me out.

yeah definatly, more so the rear view camera when all the people are first approaching the hut in the car, which has been copied many times in horror films since

The Shining
The Cell
Ringu

The only ones I can think of off the top of my head at the moment.

Supernatural stuff is the worst for me, but zombies flood my nightmares.

I've always loved The Others.
