I guess to be a little more specific, I'm looking for sounds like Zeppelin, Rush, Pink Floyd, and any other bands like those bands.

Man, you have to listen to Mountain!

Nantucket Sleighride
Don't Look Around
Mississippi Queen
Never In My Life
Travelin' In The Dark

The last one Travelin' In The Dark, is such a classic rock tune. It has every aspect of the quintessential rock song. Awesome guitar and bass, the lyrics pulling the heart strings of sexual angst. The louder you play it the better it sounds. Oh hell, I guess I'll rip it for ya...

Edit:
Ok here it is:

no offense, but i don't get the point of recommending Black Sabbath and other bands that he's no doubt already heard. that usually happens a lot in these kinds of threads.

Yeah, I haven't thought about Blue Cheer in so long. Did they actually put out albums or are there just bootlegs?

Thanks for that, I guess I should be able to find that on Amazon.

Ok, so I've been meaning to turn you guys on to this band for a while and this thread is a pretty good context for that. So here's a 'rock' tune.

If you don't like the way this starts out, give it a minute or two. This band really has something for everyone. They are, well, "pretty creative" would be an understatement.

I bet there's maybe two or three regulars on MX Bass that know who this is...

Edit:
And btw, the bass is a Fender P played with a pick...

yeah, they know how to create such a high energy rock sound, but also do some a capella vocal stuff. And between the five of them they play about 15 instruments.

I'll wait to see if anyone knows who it is before I divulge...

Well, I guess either no one knows or no one cares (except sr800bkBassist). But anyways, the band is Gentle Giant aka Giant. They have lots of really amazing stuff, ranging from cranking rock to a cappella madrigal.
