So I'm a little bit late, but I just finished God of War tonight. Man, what a hell of a game. It's one of the best adventure games I have ever played...hell, it's one of the best games I've ever played out of anything.

Discuss Kratos and all of his ***-kickery.

By the way, who's pumped for the sequel? :)

That game regularly eats up my weekends due to it being too damn cool. And I beat it last Christmas, too. Hopefully the sequel stays true to mythology and history as the first did, and it has the same, "kick-your-own-***-if-you-don't-play" amazingness.

I only got GoW about a 2 months ago, friggin awesome. I can't wait until GoW2, and it's great that it's on PS2 and not PS3, so I can play it.

The projectiles look interesting, and so does the swinging with his blades, and flying! Should be good. Hopefully a lot bloody longer.

God of War is probably my favorite game that's come out since MGS3. I don't really enjoy video games as much as I used to, but GOW had me hooked until I finished it, so that's saying something.

The sequel looks pretty awesome, I can't wait to play it.

Yes, it's coming out for ps2. I can't wait. The trailer made me have multiple orgasms after seeing Kratos rip a Cyclops' eye out and chop of a Griffin's wing. He's such an angry person.

Who's watched the special features for the game after you beat it? The making of the game is pretty funny at the end when the creators just talk about how awesome it is and the last line is "God of war is ****ing rad!" They couldn't be more correct.

I obviously wasn't thinking at all. I've watched the making of, but don't recall the part you are speaking of.

I just tried it today for the first time. I didn't even get past the first stage, but I didn't do it for too long. I just started playing Legacy of Kain: Defiance so I'm not playing God of War for a while.

8 hours!!! A game like this should be at least 20 on its first run through! Especially for the price. Lucky for me I got it used this year for $25 off eBay so I'm not unhappy about it. But, the next one needs to be much longer.

Has anyone beat the game on God Mode?

I started playing on God Mode during my holidays, I got up to just before the desert but the holidays ran out. It wasn't THAT hard yet, but I know there are a lot of control smashing fits ahead.

I have a week break in 2 weeks so I'll probably try and finish it then.

God mode isnt VERY hard...you just have to be more careful

God Mode is quite challenging, in my opinion. Wait untill you get to Ares on God mode. You have no idea how long I tried beating it. I played it for at least 2 hours straight. That same level. It was soooo hard. But I finally beat it, and a weight lifted off my shoulder once I did.

I'm right after the part when you get artemis'(?) sword and I cant get past all the gorgons. God mode requires a lot of rolling, A lot of blocking, and a lot of plume of prometheus haha.

I wouldn't want to even attempt fighting Ares on God Mode. That was the gayest fight ever.. you play the whole game with sweet kickass weapons and moves/spells then for the boss fight they give you a stupid sword that does absolutely nothing. Fighting like 500 versions of yourself was fun though.

I'm stuck at some stupid puzzle near the end of the Cliffs of Madness. I keep missing some stupid platform betweenthe saw things.

Yea, the whole end of the game wasn't really very inspired like the rest. But the rest of the game is just so damn awesome I'd still rank it as one of the best games ever. Hopefully the sequel will address all the problems and annoyances.

It could have been cooler, but seeing Kratos grow to the size of a mountain is still pretty sick.
