Well, I've been working none stop throughout the summer holidays and have had little (if any) time to play bass.

I started college last week and on Monday we will be bringing our instruments in for the first recording session.

Thing is, since I havent played bass in around 2 months I've become really really sloppy in my playing.

I used to be able to play Chromatic Fantasy (Jaco) with little difficulty now I cant even attempt it.

Hell, I'm struggling to keep up playing along to Master Of Puppets (Metallica).

So I've got to get into shape by Monday morning.
I've got all of tomorrow (Sunday) off so I figure I should make the most of it and practise my *** off.

What would you guys reccomend playing?

is your finger strength a problem?

123 with left shoe, just go up and down the scales, slowly at first, then gradually speed up.

Also, when not playing bass, just practice finger exercises, like when you're walking about. I went on holiday for two weeks and didn't touch a guitar in that time, but just kept my fingers moving. I got back and it was like the bass hadn't left me
