upright funk

so at jzz school any jams that arn't jazz are normally funk and i have a hard time playing 16th note funk on the upright, so i normally play more groove stuff and very little. so i was wondering if ther are any funk bassist that play upright that anybody knows of?(bassist and band)

not exactly funk, but worth checking out for that would be Djordje Stijepovic. He's amazing with upright jazz and slap. there's a youtube for atomic boogie.

Stanley Clarke has some pretty tasty latin funk lines on upright that he did with Return to Forever.
