ok, ive got a few questions. But first, some background: I got this amp from a friend of mine. Its a combo. the speaker wouldnt work so i took it out to see waht was wrong, and one of the lead-out braids is broke....

1. Can the leadout braid just be replaced by another, regular sheilded wire? (my guess is not, because then it would be shielded right from the start) The braid is made of like tungsten or something. Is this even repairable?

2. Will a regular car woofer work in this, or is there some difference? (basically, can i or can i not just get a speaker from a pawn shop to replace this speaker)

3. who makes good replacement drivers that i could use? Its a fifteen inch, and id prefer clay magnets with a paper cone. I know celestion makes stuff but there website wont work once i click for bass loudseakers. so who else?

when I blow drivers, I replace them with Carvins. Good for the money.
