Just got out of the studio with my band, Rest Among Ruins. We play what we'd consider Alternative Metal, but you can listen to it yourself and get a good idea of our feel.

We're planning on getting these 4 tracks mastered pretty soon, but I want to get an idea of what people think of the music first.

Feel free to leave any criticisms, positive or negative, on the songwriting, instrumentation, mix, whatever. All opinions are very much appreciated so long as they're candid.

Sounds pretty decent. My band actually recently recorded in a professional studio. Most of the vocal harmonies were spot on, except a couple. You guys have your own sound though, so that's good. Can't really say anything bad except that some of the riff based parts were kinda tedious to listen to.

How long did you spend in the studio? We had about 15 hours and it turned out pretty good.

Actually inside the studio, we might have gone through 20-25 hours, but including mixing we're topping 40, and after we get the tracks mastered, we should be just over 50 hours. Not exactly a cheap project.

Yeah, that's crazy man. We paid about 500 dollars for 10 hours and we took about 16 so that's 800 dollars that we already paid.
