I hate bonus tracks, generally. With a classic like this one, additional tracks (even if they are very good) will only bring it down. I've been trying to find it without but have failed so far.

So does anyone have a link to a site that has this? As cheap as possible. I live in Denmark so preferably not somewhere where the shipping isn't too expensive.

Stop the album after the original final song. And/Or. Only rip the original tracklist into your computer.

Am I the only one who thinks that Time of the Season is that album's low point?

No, Time of the Season doesn't even belong on that album. It's my least favorite track by far.

I like "Time of the Season," though I'll admit it is kinda stapled on, an afterthought, doesn't seem at all like a proper closer exactly. But that's kinda how the album was put together though. They ****ing spelt the title wrong.

As for TS, I don't think you'll find a copy out there without bonus tracks. There may have been a (comparatively) old release, but I'd imagine the sound quality would be ****. I've seen three CD issues floating around stores in the states, I think. All have bonus tracks. Maybe if you found a vinyl copy but good luck with that. Asymm's suggestion makes the most sense.

I like "Time of the Season". Maybe it will grate on me over time. We'll see.

"Changes" = low point, obv. Bongos. But I even like that song. Perfect album.

I want the original album. I already have a burned copy with only the "real" tracks, but I want to purchase it without all the added stuff.

Sorry, I understood what you wanted, but it's not easy to find something like that. An album from that time period that is only reissued on CD is bound to include a few bonus tracks.

After checking a few sources, it doesn't look like it was ever released on CD without bonus tracks. Allmusic has the 30th Anniversary Edition, German Bonus Tracks, 2004 Bonus Tracks, and Rhino's Bonus tracks. If you're really concerned about not having extra songs, you should buy the LP. Even there you need to watch out for bonus material as well.

I actually found a used copy on djangos.com that didn't seem to have any bonus tracks, but it sold before I could get it... I think I'll just give up and buy it with the bonus tracks :P

The whole concept of bonus tracks is ****ing stupid.

Who put out the album without bonus tracks? Did the seller specify that it didn't have them?

I see why you don't like bonus tracks, but they're nice additions for when you want them. Personally, I'd love to have bonus tracks on an accompanying disc, instead of ****ing with the original tracklisting.

That would make it a 2-cd deal which might affect the buying price/decrease the ammount of cds in the world/create more forced labor for kids in 3rd world countries.

I understand why you wouldn't want the bonus tracks, but some of them are really sweet, like "I'll Call You Mine" and "Conversation Off Floral Street". My only complaint with the bonus tracks cd is that the best song on the album, "This Will Be Our Year" is a different version from the original with added horns and is by far inferior to the original.

Exactly. If it was a different disc, I wouldn't mind at all. I like to listen to albums in full, and when I want to listen to Odessey & Oracle in full I don't want to listen to a bunch of songs someone slapped on thirty years later.

Did you not read my extra disc theory?
