I really need some help getting my internet set up. :upset: I've been dwelling on this for days and just can't get it working.

I have a cable connection. It's hooked up to a router (which I've used before in the past, and know that it works) which my two roommates use, for wireless. I'm using cable straight out of the router. Now, the light on the router indicates I have a connection; the light on the back of my network card indicates I have a connection. In Win XP, the connection status shows that it's connected. It even shows that it's sending/receiving data! However, it still does NOT work. I can't browse anywhere, or connect using any other programs. I know that I have to log in to my router to configure it; I know how to do it, but it won't let me log in to the router, as if I have no connection. I've tried 2 different browsers to log in to the router, neither work. I've tried restarting the computer, restarting the router, repairing the connection, setting up a new connection, turning off the windows firewall, etc. I've even used a multimeter to test the cord, and it works.

Sorry for the long post. :( Does anyone have any ideas?

I had a similar problem with bad innernet connection a few months back, so I called my ISP to get them to sort it out. I sugest you do the same.

The only annoying thing is they take you through the basics of troubleshooting like your an idiot, then they'll eventually come along to something you havn't tried, and should fix it.
