Help me NAME THAT GAME! (not a picture thread or anything)

Ok, I played a game a while ago I believe it's called freelancer.

But... I've been thinking about another SIMILAR game which involves similar plane vs plane air battles, but when you land on a planet...it's all real time strategy.

did I just dream up this game or is it actually existing because I'm pretty sure it's real and I want it.

I was gonna say not too long ago..but then I remembered last time I saw it I was in highschool or so

let's say 02-03.

edit: It had fairly good graphics as far as i could remember as well.

there's another game where it's like that but when you land on a planet it's all shooting things and fps

I think you're refering to planet side which is a MMO game and I'd def be interested in that if only sony didn't own it and it wasn't pay to play.
