Is probably the best game ever. I have the 03/04 version. I'm all the way to 2012 or something stupid like that, I'm so good.
Anyone know any hot players on the scene yo?

I'm playing alot of FM06 at present, the new CM games are crap compared to FM, but I'm usually Man United, because every other team feels wrong to me:(

It's the same with me and Newcastle Utd, being someone else would be utterly wrong. Apart from Rangers or Hereford, but that's history.

Im on FM06, i'm playing as Swindon town, i am meant to avoid relegation and i am 3rd after 2/3rds of the first season
I only made one signing (bassam dassii - tunisian international striker - 25,000) and im doing ok
I want to win the LDV trophy and get in the playoffs so i can buy some stars for my team next season and go for a promotion effort. im going to see if i can eventually get swindow town to win a european trophy :D

Thats because the people who make FM used to make CM. The people who made CM quit after the 03/04 game and decided to make another manager sim and sega published it. Which is why the new CM games suck.
I've got 2 games going ATM. Darlington I've managed to get promoted thanks to some nice signings (Nathan Tyson £500,000, 26 goals in 30 games  ) and I singed Adam Johnson on loan hes got 30 assists fro the season.
My boro game I signed Danny Alves (£10M) which solves the right sided problem. I'm currently lying 5th and just thumped Wigan 6-0.
What playing system d'you all prefer ??

My United side is really a 4-3-1-2 with Scholes in the hole behind the strikers, and the wingers running up.
I signed Diego from Porto and Jonathan Woodgate just this season, as I just started a new one.

I switch you see. For cup games and Europe I go 4-3-3. One DM player, two AM, 2 wingers and one big striker (I signed zigic :p). But for the prem I just got 4-4-2. Set up to counter quickly have one DM and one AM in midfield usually play viduka, and have Yakubu just behind him.

I'm in 2010 playing as Man United, but the team doesn't resemble the real team at all. Only original players I have left are van Nistelrooy, Rooney, Ferdinand, Evra and Ronaldo. My tactics are standard, 4-4-2. I've won the Premier League the last 4 seasons, won pretty much every cup. Not very challenging, but it's really fun.
I also have an England manager career and it's a little too easy, 2 world cups and 1 Euro.

Championship Manager died after 97/98. I've never played Football Manager but I'm sure it's not as good.

If you really want a challenge with FM or CM then I suggest taking over a league 2 or conference team and try and take them to the premiership and eventually Champions League. I've done it with Scarborugh took me about 15 seasons to get to the premiership and a further 3 for UEFA cup football. Still play on the game save from time to time.

I've never got further than about 2010 on version 03/04, it's completely lost it's challenge for me. 4-3-3 with Robbie Keane in the middle of the forward 3 guarantees 30-40 goals a season from him, as long as the middle 3 are all 15-20 on distribution(am always Spurs or Shrewsbury). Shrewsbury is a challenge once you get them up to the Prem, but the preceding seasons are too easy for my liking, and it's really easy to win the prem with Spurs so the realism's not good lol.
