I said him playing in blink 182 , and acting like a retard , setting a bad example to impressionable young kids by setting up his drums in a way that is damaging to cymbals , and playing a drum style that is reliant upon soley speed to impress.

First paragraph is opinion. Maybe that's how he likes them? How do you know he breaks cymbals? Have you talked to him and asked him about it? And to be honest...his drumming fits quite well with blink...

second paragraph: listen to the audio...yeah...a good groove. And they appreciate because it's from him. I agree that he shouldnt be idolised but don't talk smack about him when he's not the one idolising himself.

Ooooh...anus invader...you think up that one yourself? or did your mommy help you?

Flat cymbals = Breakage. Simple as that. EVERY CYMBAL MANUFACTURER strongly advises people to tilt the cymbals towards them and not have them flat.

Oh, you true rocker, you.

Guess what? Music isn't objective. People view it in different ways. What you may not enjoy, others may love. Saying they're a bad band because they're commerciallized is incredibly ignorant. Some of the best bands of all time enjoyed huge commercial, mainstream success. Whether or not Blink 182 is better or worse than those bands is irrelevant, because it's subjective, and not quantifiable.

Please take your elitism elsewhere.

to beat a dead horse...

flat cymbals = breakage... tell that to about every popular or good rock/punk drummer. are you going to say that Atom Willard sucks because he plays flat cymbals, or Eric Sandlin, or Derrick Plourde (RIP)? These guys are masters. Chad Wakerman Plays a couple of flat cymbals. Jojo Mayer has flat cymbals. Set-Up can't define the occurance of breaking cymbals; teqnique can... and most pro drummers have good-enough teqnique to hit thier drums and cymbals properly. Look at Barker: glancing blows on the body, not solid shanks on the edge.

The noobs are into gay *** pop punk , they appreciate him because of his fast playing in a super commercial band.

Well, that makes pennywise a bunch of gay-assed noobs, then. Who was the first band pennywise took on tour with them? Who did pennywise praise for thier work on the untitled CD?

almost every pro drummer endorses product they don't use. I don't see Kenny Arnoff usin audix mics, but he's in a couple of older audix ads. Same with Zoro-he uses seinheiser.

I don't see what any of that has to do with people overrating his ability as a drummer.

1. So he endorses products. He isn't the only one. Endorsements means promotion for himself (and therefore the band).

2. Playing in a "pop punk" band with "lyrics and music aimed at young girls" doesn't really mean he's making himself overrated as a drummer, or even as a person, does it? Clearly, to talk down on a position like drumming for Blink 182 you must've had many better experiences, care to share?

3. Running around naked in video clips doesn't at all mean he's making himself overrated as a drummer. And neither does having a show on MTV.

Why even argue my quote if you can't state anything relevant or intelligent to the contrary?
