No, if you want to be serious about drumming, you need to buy a metronome.

Dr. Beat is where it's at, of course... a little pricey but 100% worth it. You can try the mini Dr. Beat, it's a lot cheaper but doesn't have as many features.

I use that...works fine..

I dont know why someone would pay more than $20 on a metronome, there all are pretty much the same thing

Yeah the Qwiktime metronome is a really good one. It sounds good with earphones too. I run it through my ipod adapter which is ran into my stereo so the click is louder. It works really good.

I just bought that one and it's incredible. It has more than you'll ever need, and the click comes out of both sides with headphones.

You can change the accent volume of all the clicks and it has different patterns you can use.

If not that, get the Korg MA-30, I had that one until i left it at a gig and it was great.

Only one ear works with that metronome doesnt it? Or is it just my metronome. I think thi is great for everything except loudness.

the tama rhythm watch is supreme because of the subdivisions it can do. while the korg can go down to about 40 BPM at quarters, the tama can go down to 35 beats per minute, only accenting the beat, which is like 35/4 beats per minute or a little less than 9 BPM. this is spectacularly useful for improving one's time keeping and inner clock :chug:

If you want to find the tempo of a song easily you can't do it. Other ones that are higher in price have the "Tap Tempo" function where you press the button in time with the song and it tells you the tempo

Spending 2 minuts figuring out the tempo by yourself > Spending $100 on a metronome that does this

Korg BLT-1 Beatlab. The best metronome for drummers (unless you know of another metronome that plays the standard rudiments on command!)

If you pull the ear plug plug out a little it will work in both ears.

I bought the Korg MA30 & took it back the very next day.
Shotty const that looks like it's gonna give out any day (especially witht the faulty earplug) & not enough volume.

Dude, its the best metronome out there, especially for its money. The earphones aren't faulty, theyre designed like that.

As I have already said, its easily changed to through 2 ears.
