I just got back from seeing this movie and let me tell you...
IT SUCKED
It doesn't get much more retarded than this.
If anyone else has seen this catastrophe, discuss.
Have you seen the original? I heard it was remade very well actually, which is huge since the original is such a classic.

I assumed since this one sucked so bad, they wouldn't bother remaking it.

This is the remake. The original is so awesome. Christopher Lee is so good.

Exactly. The original is a brilliant British film, especially for it's age. I was a little freaked out that it was being remade, but I've heard good things (Well, from those who have seen the original version).

I haven't seen this but I'm not sure if it'll be any good. Hollywood hasn't done a great job of remaking 'classic' British films so far (The Italian Job, Get Carter etc) so I don't have high hopes for this one. Yet I do think that Nicolas Cage and Ellen Burstyn are good at acting, even if I can't see Lord Summerisle becoming Sister Summerisle. So it might be alright, but I still have low expectations.

Wow... I just saw this movie last night. Some of the worst acting I've ever seen and a lot of unintentional comedy. I like the part where Nicholas Cage holds a woman at gun point for her bicycle.

The ending is priceless. And Nicholas Cage knocking out multiple women.

Lots of classic films are being/have been remade recently.
E.g. The Hills Have Eyes, The Fog, The Fly.
It's not good I tell you they will pretty much all be awful.
Oh and I heard the new Wickerman sucks, I shall not honour it with my presence.

most remakes suck as we have an idea of what it should be like in our head from the original, and how the persona of the characters comes through, and when holywood actors try and replicate it they just cant, thus the film sucking (even tho it may be ok in its own right).
