Not sure what you mean but that version is like Nico meets poolside/elevator lounge rhythm section. Aparently that girl and her band (?) does covers in that style? I'm actually liking these songs...

Yeah, they released an album of the stuff a couple years ago(maybe last year? time passes). I think another is coming out soon. Or came out recently. Gimmicky, but kinda neat.

Not sure where you are from but I've never heard of 17 year old girls listening to bossa nova renditions of post-punk songs.

Susanna and the Magical Orchestra just recently did a [probably] better cover.

Yup, it's much better. I posted the link in some covers thread, but here it is again for those who haven't heard it: http://www.myspace.com/susannamagical
It's a gorgeous song. For a song that is so over-covered, it really stands out.

Their Versions of Killing Moon and Blue Monday are respectable standing on their own.

I listened to Heart of Glass and Love Will Tear Us Apart and I'm pretty sure that I'd hate them even if they weren't covers of songs that I love. Although there are virtually no covers of Love Will Tear Us Apart that are worth anything.
