today i've seen a car with a japanese license plate. it had kanji characters in the upper right hand corner followed by a number (300). it then had the big "Fu" character (i've studied japanese) in the lower right corner. the main part of the license plate (the center) had, i think, dashed lines then it ended with only two letters, "EF".
i thought it was nice and ive always thought about having foreign license plates.
is this legal in california (the license plate was in the front of the car)? i'd like to get one of those if possible but i dont even know where to start really.
thanks!!

who cares about the japanese. They smell funny and are annoying as hell if you work in retail and deal with them.

I kinda doubt you'd be able to put a Japanese plate on your car...
Wait, I'm not sure... do you have front plates in California?

yes, we do actually. ive been to florida and they don't even need it!
but i'm still wondering if it's possible, i've tried a car forum earlier, but no ones active on it at the moment

if you have front plates in California, then I really doubt that it will be legal to put a japanese license plate on your car.

wtf are front plates?
we just have license plates on the front and back of our cars, unless this doesn't refer to it's geographical placement???

i have a feeling front plates = front of the car

that's also what i thought, but why would you call them that?
Because they are plates and are on the front of the car?

but why wouldn't somewhere have front plates?
Maybe there law states that they dont need them? I'm not sure.

There are certain states that don't require plates on the front of the car, and also Quebec doesn't require them either.
annoying as hell if you work in retail and deal with them.
