Sweet Kit. But gear and media my friend.

And how does the ride sound? I seriously need a new one

14" Fast Crash

the K dry light is very dark but woody and very pleasant especially at lower volumes, the medium ride is a good all around ride with enough wetness to mix with any music at any volume

What kind of hats do you have right now? Nice kit though. It would be weird to be staring at a wall while you drummed though....

Right now i have a new beat bottom and a ZBT Rock Top...not the most pleasant sounding but it works for now until my K sessions come at the end of the week....worse than the wall is those damned pandas playing with themselves and smiling. I usually just close my eyes or put a playboy on the floor haha.

I remember when (like a year or two ago) I tried the Pre Aged at the store, I HATED it, but now, I think I'd like the sound, because I've developed a taste for a nice smokey, dark ride sound.

It helps my lower back from hurting & make it easier to move around my kit, who taught you?

Seriously, nice kit & choice of color!!

If David Blaine played the drums I'm sure his back would be nice and healthy.

Yea I like your kit, especially that color. I don't see how you hit that crash with the fulcrum of the stick. Maybe you don't, I dunno. But once you get those sesh hats in you'll be set man!

Yes I do play jazz, hence the two rides for the most part, and I just got my DW throne and I put a set of Aquarian Satin Finish heads on there to open up a little bit more and get better brush response on the toms. I am very much in love with the finish too, it came out to the CX line like two days before I ordered it and I saw it at GC and it blew me away so I had to have it.

P.S. Saars, Jazz ensemble can be tough anyways man. I tried out and made jazz 2 at my university tuesday but I might not do it. If you like jazz it never hurts to start up your own project and find the music that fits your style.

Yeah. For Aquarian.

*note, i have nothing against Aquarian*

Except I had a set of white emperors on there, see the pics, and while they had a very low tone I didn't like the articulation, too dry, so I stopped halfway at a coated single ply.

thanks for the advice! But still, I have a really long way to go. The jazz ensemble director told me I needed a lot of work on tempo, so I'll have to work a whole lot on that. Plus, there are way more aspects to jazz I need to look up and learn.
