My band has just begun recording some songs, so I decided to make a thread where you can share your bands website, mp3, etc. I guess you can say what genre you are and then link us to your site.

Please only use this thread to post mp3s and such, not to support some local band that you really like, or your friends band. Please only post if you have a website. No one really cares what your bands name is and what kindof music you play if we cannot hear it.

I realize that this is a little hypocritical, but I do not have any mp3s to post at the moment. I will post something as soon as I can.

My band is mainly a pop/punk, post hardcore type of band, but since there are so few people around in my town who want to get into this, we also have a bit of metal in order to let everyone have a say. We are called Think Again.

This is a kids band that used to post on MX, his name was "havoc77". They just got a demo today, and he sent me one song, I'll be getting more later. It's street punk, and great.

I'm having troubles converting this, so I'll post a link to an MP3 once I get one up on my site.

i play guitar in a ska/punk type band called Anti-Nazi Surfers. we have some old crappy mp3s, but they make us sound so bad we had to take them down. we're supposed to record soon, but with like 8 guys, most of which that work, it's hard to get a day when we can all make it.
Here's the ANS website (http://www.a-ns.tk)

i play bass, and i love it, but i always thought that the horn sections were the coolest, so i got a trumpet from the 80's really cheap. it still works, but i can barely play it. next year im taking a freshman band class at school though, so i will learn then

I'm in a band called Zemmiphobia. I really don'tknow what kind of music we play. We are made up of a rapper drummer, a guitarist who is a musical genius with many instruments, A siren singer, a metal singer, and me (an experimental bassist). We are still trying to make our website. Our songs are really creepy involving many things and I'm pretty sure we're going to be labeled as insane.

Building a band is tough. Building a band that is available for and
capable of touring the country and beyond and coming to play FOR YOU wherever you may be is even tougher. And re-building that band is definitely a huge undertaking.

I'm looking for members who would be able to identify with the following:

1) They love rock and roll, and they love it the way it was always
meant to be - obnoxious. Some call that "true punk rock."
2) They understand that music is art, not a product.
3) They want to experience touring, putting out records, meeting the
fans and having a great time doing so.
4) They can play one (or more) of the following instruments:
a) Drums
b) Guitar (Some leads preferred although we prefer good rhythm solos)
c) Bass
5) Females preferred (mainly for backup vocal reasons, the band has a
history dating back to 1991 and it sucks not being able to play many
of our more well-known songs due to not having the backing vocals).
6) They put honesty above all else musically.
7) They aren't looking to "sell out" and suck corporate dick. This is
not to say we won't (or can't) get paid. Butt Trumpet has been signed
before. What I mean is, it's not the priority, it's the RESULT.
8) Are in the Los Angeles area and are willing to practice at least 2
times a week.
9) Are available for shows, short and long tours.
10) Can afford their share of a reasonably priced lockout.

Gear that the project already owns include the following:
a) Ampeg SVT Bass amp (tube of course)
b) GK RB-800 Bass amp (heavily modified, heh)
c) Marshall JCM-2000 Signature guitar head with a matching half
stack cabinet. Includes floor switch, what fun!
d) Other misc. stuff

The band make-up is as such:
1) Drummer
2) Clean bass/Vocals
3) Fuzz bass/Vocals
4) Guitar/Vocals
5) Vocalist

You can hear a bit of the music (still rough mix, not yet mastered, so not yet available for download) at http://www.myspace.com/thombone in
the music player at the top of the page. Our previous album, you might have heard of: "Primitive Enema."

You can e-mail me at thombone200x@yahoo.com as well.

This is a great opportunity for you if you're looking for a project
with a lot of history but little compromise. In other words, there's a
lot of freedom behind this. It's ART and some good, intense, in your
face music we're after, not the typical bull****.

Peace.

my band has a great range from like... GnR to clapton to sublime to acoustic alchemy to NoFx and blah blah blah.... do you think most who try this stretch themselves to thin? do you think it would be to hard to creat a loyal fan bass?

Nobody made a response to my post, so i am making another because I want people to hear us. My band is the Cripple Beaters. We all have our own influences, but our main ones are Black Flag, DRI, Judas Priest, the Germs, GG Allin, Slayer, DOA, Circle Jerks, Dead Kennedys, and lots of other ****. We already recorded our first album, and it sounds pretty much like old-school hardcore revival. Our next album will be totally different, though, more technical and crossover influenced. Go to http://www.myspace.com/thecripplebeaters to hear the title track of our album. I am the lead guitarist. I made up all of the solos on the album on the spot, but I only made up two songs, which was because I wrote the lyrics. I also sang on those tracks. We just got a permanent bassist who does really great and original walking bass lines. I am living in Texas right now, but I am moving there in the summer, so more stuff will be up then.

I realize our name is stolen from an 80's hardcore band, yes.

Basically, my friends Brett and Connor got together and messed around on Fruit Loops creating random metal/trance stuff. But then we got me on guitar, a hardcore kid to do keyboards, and a drummer who likes the poppier side of punk (Adicts, Mr. T Experience, etc), and some other general rock/mainstream stuff. So we'll either suck, sound like an awesome Bomb the Music Industry type thing, or just make heads explode with our awesome genre clashing. The music on the myspace is just us messing around, so we decided to make Mortal Kombat on Fruit Loops. We're set to play a local open mic night thing, and our set list is really weird (some s'hit metal song called My Mercy, its a cover. A reggae song I wrote called We Will Make it To Zion. A punk thing called God is Dead. And a weird power pop-ballad thing called "Hookah Song"). Either way, it might be interesting.

I saw their band play and the lead will stop right in the middle of a song and play American Idiot. I want to be in the band. how should i get in the band.

Great stuff, the ska song is really good and the other one, first song is really good too. The only comment i would make is you need clearer song structure, but that'll come when you have a vocalist, so yeah, good job.

Thank you.

We have a friend who says he will eventually sing for us, if not our guitarist will. And then we will record with the vocals. We also have a friend who plays trumpet for "Screw You Coca-Cola". Hopefully, we will be recording that soon, too.

I wouldnt picture you in a band like that.

Well the thing is now we're a reggae band, scince I wrote 3 reggae songs and a punk one, and those are our only songs.

Like I said it was just two goths I know who started it, but we'll probably shape up, play some shows, put real songs up, re-do the website and change the name, etc etc. Or suck.

And the Mortal Kombat thing is the only song I acctually helped with.

We did sell out. We signed to a big label, and had our videos all over MTV. But then sadly, fame gave way to drug addictions and we broke up.

We really did break up. Just not enough commitment or chemistry.

By The Way if anybody willing to come to the San Diego Area to Spread the word, Wants to set up any show dates w/ us just email me cuz we can get up to like 400 people out to watch shows(the scene is huge down here) and you get to play alongside some Kick @$$ Local Bands bands like Fatal Collision(PLAYED WITH MATCHBOOK ROMANCE), and Radio Diary(PLAYED WITH ACOP, SPITAKFIELD,MY AMERICAN HEART).
