Hey guys what's up? I'm not new to the forums...just new username.
Everything on my set pretty much is stock/beginner so bare with me. Remember, that doesn't mean I'm a bad drummer. Not saying I'm the greatest though. But anyways, I finally get a chance to post my kit so here we go!

NEVER try to make your own bass ports... doesn't affect sound much, just looks horrible....

Could anyone possibly identify this snare? It has no marking whatsoever on it. You can also see the Evans bass patch i used to patch up the tearing on it. Works pretty good, temporarily...
Thats it.

That snare definitely looks like an old Pearl to me.

You're toms are upside down but that's okay i can understand why you did it like that...but you could get the same effect right way up.
nice choice on pedals though. and i'd get rid of the bass patch...it'll come off soon then leave sticky stuff all over the bass drum head.

Haha you need new heads badly. And how did you manage to crack the bottom hat? Other than that, pretty sweet looking setup. Specs?

Can we get some decent shots of the snare. The lugs look to be pearl from back in the 80's

Well, when you're using a compass with a knife and quarter way through the circle the head starts to lose tension to keep it in place, yes it is.

If it has lugs that look like them its a pro level pearl from back in the 80's when they were made in japan. The badges were glued on so thats probably why it doesnt have one.

The reason for everything being so crappy is due to a lack of good income. I have no income at all for that matter cause I'm not old enough for a job yet. Soon though...
Obviously you take it off and cut around a template... Yeah I wish I would have been smart enough to do that before hand...
beginner kit, stickers, all heads in bad shape, both snare heads are cracked, a tear in bass reso, beginner cymbals, hi-hat cracked, toms mounted upside down, cant reach slave pedal. Correction - *CAN reach slave pedal. It's more comfortable where it is to me. I play what's comfortable to me, not you. Not to be rude or anything.
No offense, but do you dip your drumsticks in white paint before you play? Nylon tips?
EDIT: Didn't anyone notice my 14" Wuhan China?

08-24-2006, 05:22 PM
I never had nylon tips do that.
Maggot Dream
08-24-2006, 05:47 PM
I have no idea how you reach your slave pedal, but whatever works. Although you might try some repositioning, you could find something you never thought would be comfortable.
Antifrootbooter
08-24-2006, 06:30 PM
I had the slave pedal more aligned with my hi-hat stand until it slid back to where it is now while I was playing... and then I found out I like it more there.
Maggot Dream
08-24-2006, 06:33 PM
It just seems like that hi-hat leg would be extremely inconvenient, but whatever.

Ok, I don't mean to be an *** or whatever, I hope I can laugh with you. But HAHAHAHAHA.. Did you attach a knife to a compass and try and cut a perfect circle, WHILE your reso is still on your bass drum. You must have rushed it, or been drunk, or hungover.. Something. That is funny

I guess I could take it off and try to make the port a little bigger and make it look GOOD.
