so i've had my coated remo emps for 1 years now, almost even a bit more, and now i have cash and im gonna get new heads.

At first i was certain about getting ec2 for my toms since i like a low sound but i started thinking that maby coated g2 would be better for that, correct me if im wrong.

And i'm also gonna get new resos since i still have my stock ones. Just to be sure: The best choise would be to get clear g1 for reso, right?

thanks guys! :)

Edit::

Also is there any other remarkable diference between remo and evans except the price? where i live evans heads are a bit more pricey
I jsut need to know since i have a major dilemma in witch company to choose.

also would coated or clear emps/g2 be better?

EC2 can't tune very low without sounding crap. Look into single ply heads if you want to tune very low.

i think ill stick with two ply and g2 or emperors for toms...thats the reason i ditched the idea of ec2 btw...

i've decided to go remo since it's gonna be cheaper. So now the question is, should i go for clear or coated emps over clear ambs?

Coated if you want to tune low. Cos it's warmer and it'll sound better.

okay, so it strongly looks like im going for coated emperors over clear ambassadors.

for my snare i'll be getting a Remo cs black dot

Remo CS Black Dot...i didnt know they had a coated one of those.

If your talking about the clear ones, i suggest you ditch that idea. They do not suit snares well.

im not talking about the clear ones...they do make a snare head that is coated and has the dot in the center of the head. it is one of the most used remo snare heads

i quick question, what is the real differnce in coated emps and clear emps sound wise?

They both are 2 ply aren't they?

Power Centre Reverse Dots on Snare sound really good. Gotta tune it pretty perfect though. They can also sound really crap when not right (although I guess that applies for almost every head).

coated heads are warmer sounding, clear heads are more open sounding

Smooth White Emps. over Clear Ambs.

Beautiful sound; very deep and boomy. Can be tuned very high and very low.
