View Full Version : Maybe selling my Spector Q6 Pro (UK)

I'm thinking about trading my Spector 6er for something a little simpler.
Bought new from Soundcontrol just over a year ago - and in immaculate condition, it really could be sold as new. It's got a great sound to it and i'd be sad to see it go, but i'm not giving it enough attention compared to my 5 string, and i'd much rather a 4 string instead.
The holoflash finish is very unique and looks fantastic under bright stage lights.
So basically i'd like to know if anyone is interested - email machinesofhate @ blueyonder.co.uk with any interest.
Specs:
Body: Basswood
Neck: Maple
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Bridge: Brass
Pickups: 2 x EMG-HZ
Preamp: EMG-BTS (2 band)

How is the neck dive on that? It looks like it would be bad because the upper horn ends at the 15th fret.

Good luck selling it. I think it's ugly but I bet it sounds great.

What kind of price range are you looking for?
I'm estimating it's way out of my price range, but I'd like to know anyway, just in case.

The shpae of that thing is kinda akward, how does it sit? And what does that paint job look like in person

It actually looks like it's got quite a bit of neck RISE on it there, the body looks like it's really heavy and pulling it down.

£330 inc P&P.

That's because it's slightly offset - bit like a Jazz.

That's a nice price, I'm very interested.
I'll have to see the state of my bank account after my student loan comes in.
But I'm VERY interested!

Soundcontrol, although the guy did give me a bit of a deal I remember now, I think he knocked off about thirty quid.
I just think that used, asking 330 quid for a used bass which retails at about 350 new is a bit much. Even including postage and packaging.
If you do go to get it there you might have to order it in, they would get it from another soundcontrol in the UK, only takes like a week though.

Don't mean to be a dick, but didn't you get this for 330 new with case?
I'd rather just get a new one and haggle them down myself :p

Not sure about the case, but with a little haggling it is easy getting it down to that or less.

Supply and demand. If there aren't any for sale and theres a demand - the prices goes up, vice versa if there's loads of them and no-one wants them, price goes down.
The Q series is discontinued and I severely doubt Soundcontrol have any Q6's. The fact me and you got the bass cheap doesn't mean we have to sell it cheap.
If the price is too high I simply won't have anyone interested, but i'm not willing to sell it for less than £300 as that's what it is worth to me, i'd rather keep it than sell it for less.

Wow. I would be all over that if I were in the UK. I really want a sixer, and that holoflash finish is practically worth the price alone. Gorgeous bass.
