Through the wonders of free music on the internet, I've discovered this band. They're an Ohioan indie type band who released an album a couple of years back, before realising noone was that interested and decided to go the internet route and release their second for free download on their site.
I was rather taken aback by this one as I'd never really heard them before, yet they sound like a million other semi-popular bands so it's not that tough to like them. Basically, they rely on strong instrumentation, singing and songwriting to win without a particularly original sound. Think Coldplay before the OTT U2-isms crossed with Bell X1 and Elliott Smith and all your other pitchfork favourites. Basically, just good times.
Check out:
Blind Ward
Lullaby In A
Metropolitan (Watercolor)
