Ok.. explain this to me..

I plugged my guitar into my amp via my pedal, and sat at the computer with it - ready to play a tab off the screen. I then realised I had pulled the USB router connection out of my router and it was laying on the floor (the cable being plugged into the usb port and not the router at this point). As I picked up the cable to plug into the router, I froze and just vibrated .. basically and felt this ****ing huge current running through me and I couldn't move or anything. After about 4 seconds it stopped and I dropped everything and ran downstairs..

After a couple of minutes my fingers were burning and I have got these blisters on the ends of them burning like ****..

How comes that happened? I'm scared ****less of my guitar now lol :smoke:

What are you talking about Wintermute? I assume the server farted.

Anyways, it's a good idea to turn your amp off so you don't cross wires like that. I have never been shocked at home, but for while it seemed I got shocked every time I went to GC. Once I plugged a bass into a pedalboard, and plugged that into an amp. I touched the strings with my hand - owwww. I got shocked pretty bad. No blisters or anything, but my hand was shaking for a good 15 minutes.

No no, he bumped an old thread with this post, so I split it off and made a new thread from it, and let the old one sink down again.
