Hey guys, i've really been pumping out recordings left and right, and would really like your opinion+criticism on them. The newest songs are "cynicism" and "untitled." Untitled has some pretty agressive guitar playing near the end(my guitar playing debut), and it's very very high quality. Anywho, let me know what you think about my music, and add me if you like it. I'm trying to get friends the legit way, positive word of mouth. There are programs that send friend requests to people that might like your music, but odds are that people will never listen to it and just add you. thanks for taking your time to listen.

Hey mate, just gave your stuff a listen and I'm really impressed!

I really like Untitled. The quality isn't as good as you said (sound wise) as I was expecting pro studio quality from how you put it! :p

It's good but perhaps some kind of alteration to that main riff (it's a great riff though!) Also, try and mix up the drums some more. Throw some cymbals and crashes in here and there :thumb: Are you going to get a band to play these or something?

Insomniac is great!! Nicely produced and I enjoyed it. You certainly captured the feel you were going for :thumb:

(oh yeah, I added you)

i'm in a band, but i'm thinking of keeping this for myself, because i'm proud of it, and my band only has one guitar player. All of the stuff on my myspace is just me, except for insomniac, which features my bro on guitar and glitch programming. The quality is very good on my speakers, but that's because i mixed it on this computer and it sounds pretty good in my speakers.

I'm trying to get a portfolio of songs with a bunch of different vibes. Cynicism is a film score i'm working on. My goal is to write a screenplay, and make a soundtrack for it. Then the next step is to befriend a film major in college and collaborate.

Thats a great idea! Good luck with it :)

And that's also a problem I have.. When I'm recording and mixing, it is done for what sounds good through my speakers and system. I need to learn how to mix professionally, where they do it so it'll sound good on a top of the range system, a laptop or headphones. Hopefully I should learn the basics of recording in the next year, then I'm off to Uni to study it properly (sound technology)

What hardware/software are you using to record?

My practice bass amp(ibanez sw 65) with my pedals (line six dl4, MXR di, and Rocktron hypnotic phaser). I use the line out on my amp and go into the soundcard with an adapter. For guitar i used my schecter c-1 plus. For bass i used my warwick. I programmed the drums with reason3.0, and recorded the guitars and bass in acid pro 6.0.

fairly neat stuff. not really my thing, but it's listenable. although i wasn't really too impressed with the quality; but it's better then most stuff that gets posted. i liked the lead on Untitled, but i wasn't too keen on that rhythm riff, nor the tone.

EDIT: oh, you're already my friend.:amaze: WHAT THE ****. maybe i was drunk...

yeah, that rhythm riff seems to be very hit or miss.
