Regardless if he's an athlete or not, it's Jack Nicklaus.

You are so wrong buddy. Tiger has been playing golf since he was big enough to swing a club. He practices just as much if not more than everyone else. He has natural ability, but he has also dedicated his life to becoming the greatest golfer of all time, and is well on his way.

I know, I read his book, or one of them...
Being naturally talented is different from having to learn from scratch :)

My post from the same thread in Sports:
I'll say Roy Jones Jr., and Sugar Ray Robinson. Jones is 50-4-0, with titles in four classes. Robinson has fought a whopping 202 professional bouts, at 175-19-6, 2 NCs, with 108 KO wins.

I'm sorry, but there are other continents out there other than North America, and I'm sorry, but this isn't the place to put sporting threads.

Go shove your head into a toilet threadstarter, and then book a plane ticket out of America. Perhaps someday you'll discover men such as Schumacher, Warne, Bradman, Pele, Aryton Senna etc

Jonah Lomu, Christian Cullen (until the knee problems), Tana Umaga, Gavin Hastings, David Campese, Colin Meads etc etc

There is a thread on this subject in the sporting forum, and with a hell of a lot less retarded American bias.

And that last comment is stupid. This thread bugs me so much, so I'm trying to show how retarded it is to others.

Jim Thorpe

he won damn near everything he competed in, including an Olympic decathalon. sounds like a pretty complete athlete to me!

or alternately...

Jim Brown

not only one of the greatest football players ever, but he actually went to college on a lacrosse scholarship. so he's really good at two sports. not merely Bo Jackson good, but phenomenal at both of them.

He actually made people care about the sport. Now no one cares. And before him, no one cared.

Exactly, no one cared about the sport, they only cared if he won. If he made people interested in the sport, then people would care after he left.
