how do the tone or sound of ghs differ from eirnie ball?

I have owned both of the those strings and i felt pretty much the same about both of them. When i first put the strings on they were overly bright, then a week later I loved the strings then a 2 months later they sucked. If i remember correctly(its been a while since i played GHS or Ernie Ball strings i play DR only now)

he's basically got the ghs' right, i'm not sure about the ernie's though.
