He's touring now, and i just saw him tonight for the 3rd time.
He's one of the few artists nowadays that I like as far as blues goes. It seems like all the best blues artists are already dead, or close... but honestly, once you get over Jonny's ridiculous faces, the music is really good. His band is very impressive and the songs are great (they do excellent extended live versions of songs)
for anybody that's heard him: he was playing at the Jazz Festival in New Haven... but he's not jazz at all. Would you have any idea why they may have grouped him in there?

A lot of blues artists play at jazz festivals, I dont think it's that strange. I'm sure BB King has.
He has some surprisingly good stuff, but I've heard some stuff I didn't care for though.

There's tons of different kinds of music at Jazz festivals now-a-days.

I liked him in blues brothers when he was singing with all of those fat operators and doing a dope guitar solo while riding a trolly.
ohyeah: he was gifted with an amazing voice, god damn him.
I saw him a few weeks ago. He makes really weird faces.

I'd have to listen to it again to be sure. I've only heard it once when I was driving around with my dad. The first couple songs were really cool though, especially the slow blues ones.

Jonny, where have you gone, baby? A "christian" CD???? Seriously, get a grip and get back to where you belong.
