View Full Version : MX United: The Soulseek Chatroom

In the list of chatrooms in Soulseek, all I see are these lame genre chatrooms with the most users (Indie, PUNK/HARDCORE/GRIND, Underground Hip Hop, House, Reggae, Progressive House, Electro, Psytrance, Jazz, Techno, IDM etc).

This simply cannot be.

So, to rectify this egregious situation:

1) MXers download and install Soulseek Version 156c: http://www.slsknet.org
2) Make up a username (hopefully something similar to your MX name or something)
3) Configure and share all the proper directories/set download folder
4) Wait for everything to hash (shouldn't take too long)
5) Right click on the Chatrooms list in the lower right hand corner and select "Create Room"
6) Enter "MX" without the quotations to be taken to the sweet elite chatroom.
7) If that doesn't work, refresh the chatlist and scroll through it (sorting by name) until you see MX.

In this thread, join the chatroom, post your Soulseek name, the approximate number of files shared (this can be found by adding yourself to the user list in the upper right hand corner), and what kind of music you "specialize" in (have the most of).

Soulseek Name: Eggothewaffle
Files Shared: 30,000
Prevalent Music Domains: Asian Underground, Indian Classical & Folk, Ambient, Trip Hop, Jazz Fusion, World Fusion, Progressive Rock, Goa Psytrance, Trance, Soundtracks, Bollywood/Indian Pop

I refuse to let this die :-D

Here is the old thread if you think you have any questions which might be answered in there: http://www.sputnikmusic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=472651
