Okay, just saw the video for TRoBB, first of all this video is the best one they have done in years. Second i like how maiden doesnt get caught using the same old patterns, they are taking a new direction with this song, which is good, i dont think i would want a Dod duplicate or even a BNW duplicate. thirdly the song itself is no rainmaker but still is kick as$. I like it, and i want to hear more :)

And I've been trying to explain to him that I'm not going to go off and do anything, I just wanna' see Maiden. I mean, he already knows I don't and won't drink no matter what, whether I'm away with friends our whatever.

The 47-year-old flew a Boeing 757 to Cyprus where he picked up the evacuees and flew them back to London's Gatwick Airport. A colleague says, "He was only too keen to get involved and help. The bass player in my band tells me Sanctuary is the most fun he's had on bass.

He also tells me that for the bass solo in one of our songs, he just plays as many Iron Maiden fills as he can think off until the drum cue to switch to the guitar solo (at which point I come in to rip off Adrian's solo in No More Lies)

Sounds like they are selling out yet trying to sidestep around it at the same time. This way they are selling out more under the radar than changing their own music.

I think people who are hardcore Trivium fans and hardcore Maiden fans have a screw loose somewhere becuase if you can appreciate Maiden's greatness you should also be able to see how bland and untasteful Trivium is.

i can't see that, they willing had eggs thrown at them, and their set ****ed with for publicity, i'm sorry but i can't see maiden doing that.

I thought the lack of touring in the states was mainly due to poor cd sales, DoD didn't even go gold in the states.....

Yea also the fact that most kids around my age are so into hip-hop or emo music in the states, thats maybe one reason why they wanna attract younger crowds to their shows.

I highly doubt that, Maiden just wouldn't do that.

It's not unknown. Remember how they deliberately caused a media outcry in the UK with their Sanctuary sleeve (they but a black box over the woman's eyes, then screamed "Censorship!")

I figured that's its possible this is the same thing, but on a much larger scale...given what gets onto album covers these days they couldn't pull that trick again, so they needed something bigger...

...I don't know what really happened at Ozzfest, but I wouldn't write off the publicity stunt theory.

Quebec show: Ticket price: $56.50 CAD

Montreal show: Ticket price: $54.20 CAD

Toronto show: Ticket prices - 67.50 / 52.50 / 39.50

Indeed. Their second best, IMO, behind the self titled.

Killers is my favorite. I haven't listend to Maiden in a while, so I figured I'd pop in 7th Son.

Seventh Son is definitely Maiden's best.

SSOASS is great, not my favourite though. I think it would come about 4th on my list:)

That was my first Iron Maiden album. I remember the goosebumps during the The Evil That Men Do solo. Great album but I never really liked Can I Play With Madness.

Seventh Son of a Seventh Son is my favourite album, as well as Brave New World.

I just can't decide between the two, they are both amazing. I could maybe go towards BNW slightly more cause it has Blood Brothers on it, one of my very favourite Maiden songs ever. But then again, don't know what the new album is going to be like yet so that might take over, I can't wait to hear it. And for the earlier subject I think the new video is decent, I agree that they have there ups and downs.

I'm in Montreal for the weekend. Bought SSOASS and Somewhere In Time along with a NOTB and BOTB T-shirts. :D

Nice, i've only got a FotD shirt... and SiT is definitely becoming one of my favourite Maiden albums ever.

I have so many Iron Maiden shirts I don't even think I could list them. I have easily 10 or 12

It's really hard to call which of those two albums is better: BNW or SSOASS.

Both have one possible skip track (CIPWM and The Nomad). Both have excellent songs and the guitar work is equivilent.

I can't even say that Bruce sounds better on one then the other: both those albums feature his best ever work.

Both have some absolute classics: Moonchild, The Wickerman, The Evil That Men Do, The Fallen Angel: and some superb epics like Infinite Dreams (not quite an epic, but meh) and Dream Of Mirrors, Seventh Son and TTLBLAH...I really can't call it.

The only thing which really is different between them is the song order: SSOASS orders the songs in a way that they can be intrepted as a story, while BNW doesn't (not without any great difficulty and imagination anyway).

I might have to say that BNW has more content (it's longer) but SSOASS is better as an overall album.

Between SSoaSS & BNW i'd probably go SSoaSS, i mean they're pretty even, and both contain 2 of my fav maiden songs ID and TFA, but SSoaSS wins based on having better artwork :p

Damn Maiden never touring Turkey.

I dont listen to too much Maiden, kick a$$ band though, as you all know. I have Edward the Great: Greatest Hits, and just a mix of Maiden. I like all of the hits, besides Flight of the Icarus, I cant stand that song.

I can't stand Edward the Great. The song selection is just the singles, and is very weak because of it.

like i said, i dont listen to much of them, so i am not going to dive into each album to find songs that are good but arent singles.

i prefer the cd way more, the crowd has been turned down to much on the dvd so on parts where they sing its no more than a whisper were on the cd it is a bellow

It's for someone who is just getting into maiden to buy.

And you guys could find edhunter on any torrent site me thinks. ( that is, if you wanted it.)
