you could just get your parents to get them from www.ticketmaster.co.uk , that's where i normally get tickets from. handling charges and that are quite high though :(
I've ordered my tickets (Fan Club Preorder)
heh we did it at school cos we had nothing to do...it turned out to be about £36.00 each ticket with a shipping onf about £4.50 if anyone's wondering
that's for UK (Sheffield Standing, and as I'm Fan Club I might even get one of those wristband thingies meaning I can go in before doors open...
May I see anyone there?)

nah, going to Newcastle. i'm gonna enter for one of those wristbands though, that would be sweet to be guaranteed a place at the front.
was that £4.50 charges from ticketmaster?
the first time i saw Maiden tickets were only £23 or so :(.
yeah ticketmaster, it was a "one time charge" though if you get me?
We ordered 4 tickets and it was still £4.50 combined shipping like
I think the total for our 4 tickets was £153.00

yeh if you buy more than 1 ticket, the handling charge stays the same. i need to use my dad's credit card, then get the money off my mates / out my bank account yet. once i've got my student account, i can get a Visa card i think, so i can use that anywhere, whereas with my Visa Electron debit card i'm limited as to where i can use it.

i need to persuade my dad to spend the £97.50 + handling fee, when he might not get the money for a while yet.

Because Ticketmaster are fags.
It's maiden, I'll pay pretty much anything.

I would too, but Ticketmaster seriously charges way too much for handling.
I always try to get the tickets from the venue, it can usually save me $8 or so.

Ugh, something tells me im going to have to go up to canada to go see 'em....
I just heard Maiden do a cover of We're Walking in the Air from that snowman thing, it's pretty cool.
Ollie: gonna order the tickets before monday, but still bring the money in then.
and i random thing i found on the IMOC:
Infinte Beers
Infinite beers, i cant deny them
Sobriety is hard to comprehend
I couldn't piss such streams
Even with a million beers
Intoxicated, wake up damp and wet
Scared to fall asleep again
In case I piss my pants again
Whiskey chasers, I cannot move
Standing rigid, yet swaying gently
All the beer, where will it end?
Will I reach my bed?
Tasteless beer, my minds in turmoil
One piss up ends, another fertile
Its getting to me, so scared to drink
And scared to wake now, drenched in piss
Even though it's every night
I rather like the rucks and fights
It makes me wonder makes me think
There's more to this, I need a drink
It's not the fear of a drunken state
Its just that I've been up too late
I have a six pack, some on draught
And twenty kegs just for a laugh
Its can't be all coincidence
To many beers are imminent
You tell me, you're an alcoholic
In recovery, well me I'm neither
Would you like to know the truth?
Of why I'm falling off the roof?
And find out just which side I'm on
Where would you end...legless or in debt?
Help me
Help me to down the last pint before its chucking out time
Save me
Save me from pissing my pants every night in my dreams
There's got to be more to it than this
Or tell me why do we get pissed?
I'd like to think that that when I die
They'll bury me in hops and rye
And to return, I'd drink again
Inebriate, dull the pain
And again, and again, and again
And again.......

The Beer Prayer
Our lager,
Which art in barrels,
Hallowed be thy drink.
Thy will be drunk, (I will be drunk),
At home as it is in the tavern.
Give us this day our foamy head,
And forgive us our spillage,
As we forgive those who spill against

And lead us not to incarceration,
But deliver us from hangovers.
For thine is the beer, the bitter, and
the lager.

I'm glad he declined, if he had joined Maiden then there would have been no Blaze era which would mean no X-factor of Virtual XI, also there would have been no return of Bruce because most likely people would have warmed to LaBrie more me thinks, so that means no BNW or DoD.

Exactly, but labrie would probably stay becasue hese most likely more conisistant the blaze live. Which means no BNW or Dod. People may have not warmed up to labrie, but he would most likely stay becasue of his live consistenscy.
Anyway it would have sucked for maiden if he joined.
So im glad he didnt :thumb:

What's more interesting is that he declined! He must have had very high hopes for DT at the time if he declined a spot in Iron Maiden.
although he sounds good on the live NOTB cover, i don't think LaBrie would have suited maiden's album sound.

As I said in the DT thread, I'm glad he LaBrie declined. Blaze was a great choice, and LaBrie would've left when Bruce came back. Plus, DT would've had to find a new vocalist who probly wouldn't have been as good.

Good pickup combination, looks good
BUT, I've no experience with Cort. My suggestion is to try it out, if you like it more then other guitars, get it. A 1000 Dollars is a lot of money.
As for LaBrie in Maiden... I'd be 'kin pissed off if he was in there, he voice wouldn't have suited Maiden. He's voice is too thin and weak, which none of the Maiden singers have. Pauls voice was done and dirty, Bruce's strong and can make his scream sound manly and Blazes voice is thick and strong if you know what I mean.
If he was the singer, I'd download the album and give it try, but I doubt I'd like it....and in conclusion...I don't like Dream Theater!

So which Maiden song has the most outstanding fills/ditties by Steve? Not necessarily which songs are the hardest to play on bass (like POTO or Rime) because songs like those are just fast and complex. But which ones have the most little fills and extra things in them?
I'm thinkin' Sanctuary or 2 Minutes to Midnight.

There is a tab out there somewhere for the RiR solo, i remember learning it back in the day. I'll have a look about:)

That tab is only about 90% right for the solo.
I have PT somewhere that's pretty accurate, I'll just make a few changes to it to make it the RiR version. Adrian generally keeps his solos the same in the studio and live, though.

I've gone a wierd way.
I used to listen to pop (was a huge Spice Girls fan in the day)...then I discovered Blink 182.
First heard Iron Maiden when I was 13. Too young to really understand the lyrics, or appreciate the music. Got into punk.
Heard Iron Maiden again when Dance Of Death came out. I was 16 now, and had been playing guitar for a few years. Adrian became my guitar idol. I still listen to (and appreciate) bands like Blink 182, Greenday and punk.
From Iron Maiden, I became more intersted in Western Art (i.e. classical music) and from there folk.
Folk music led my back into liking pop, so I can enjoy lots of pop songs, so long as its not R&B.
Rap is another thing, though. I'm not normally a fan, but some of it is amazingly good. I love Eminem, and I love the streets, just because they're being so autobiographical. Eminem does some amazing videos too.
In the end, I'm now someone who knows and appreciates a bit of all kinds of music, which is good. I feel I don't limit myself.
My favourite bands of all time are still, however:
1. Iron Maiden
2. Greenday
3. Eminem.

I think i would, montsegur + new frontier + wildest dreams + rainmaker + dance of death + journeyman + age of innosence + no more lies + pacshnedale + and face in the sand = :thumb:
That cd is brilliant with the exception of gates tommrow. Not my #1 album but most likely top 5 material

Of course that album is going to be great lol. My favorite Maiden would have to be Fear of the Dark, but the most powerful version i believe is the Rockn' In Rio version.
"A light, in the black, or just a fear...of the dark!"

i quite like that one, i prefer it to Face In The Sand. it's meant to be political, and seeing as i can get fairly worked up about politics etc, it appeals to me.
