it's annoying Bruce didn't win, but he's the best Metal vocalist, and to be honest, he's way better than Freddie. it's just all the people out there (like Superpeer) voting freddie to make bruce lose that made that result :(

Still though. Dave's my favorite guitar player in Maiden. He's the best soloist (IMO), and he's just always got a smile on his face. I appreciate when guitarists actually look like they're having fun (Dave Murray, Joe Satriani, and Eddie Van Halen to name a few.)

Dave's been with Iron Maiden since day 1. Two members of Iron Maiden have always been constant...Dave Murray and Steve Harris.

actually......... dave hasnt been in the band since day 1. He ended up in iron maiden for a year or so and then was kicked out by the vocalist dennis wilock and after months and months willock left and stevey hired davey back.

No matter what some prejudiced, ignorant metalheads might say, Iron Maiden are clearly the greatest metal band to grace our planet. Maybe when they said SSOASS was the closest to a stinker they meant it could have easily turned out a rubbish pop-metal album (which it could, given the synths, etc...) but that it didn't, and was simply a good album. Their best, IMO.

Yeah so I'm still a bit upset with Iron Maiden's choice of using synthetizers in "Seventh son of a seventh son" But I think I'm growing out of it. It takes a while. A grower album, I'd say.

Indeed purgatory is a great song , but i think my favorite off of killers would have to be drifters or murder in the rue mourge.

Infact killers would have to be my favorite maiden album, everything on it is killer. No fillers whatsoever IMO. I actually wish they would have kept paul for another album or two. :(

Wow...a mini influx of newbies (welcome, by the way...unless you hate Maiden, and may the Demon rape you in your bed at night).

Good to see they're getting a new audience.

I just noticed in my things to look forward to in 2005 I put:

1. DotR DVD
2. New Maiden album
3. Robbie Williams tour!!!

I'm going mad.
That's ok. Robbie Williams is some of the very small amount of pop that I like. It's really not too bad; even if it is out of place with most of what I like (metal, rock, jazz, classical).

he's a good drummer, his solo wasn't bad when i saw VR last January.

when i don't start my day with maiden i know there something wrongi generally listen to whatever the hell my mp3 player puts on, it has a choice of 2042 songs and 239 of them are maiden, so they tend to come on fairly often.

It's the sound of Satan creeping into the song!!! They must have embedded it in there!

That URL just takes you to the menu of videos, but I know which one you're talking about. It's "Ides of March," followed by "Murders in the Rue Morgue." Both are from Killers.

i liked how they missed off the slow intro to Murders in the Rue Morgue, it worked much better going into the drum-roll and "i remember it as plain as day..." from The Ides Of March. i wish they hadn't dropped Charlotte the Harlot for Wrathchild though.

Yah, honestly, from the looks of how things have been going we'll probably get wrathchild again for upcomming tours. Bruce just cant sing wrathchild, IMO

Josh
01-10-2006, 05:51 AM
he can sing it well, i prefer the live version to the studio version, it's generally more energetic. they could even do it with another song, rather than swapping them, as Wrathchild's so short.
