No way, his voice is totally an alarm bells metal voice. Works fantastic for metal, and styles associated with Iron Maidens, though I don't think Bruce's voice would touch me in a slow, emotional ballad for example.
Great vocalist though, don't get me wrong.

Im liking The Number of The Beast. My first and only Maiden album. And I want to get another one in the near future. The Frank had recomended me these albums not too long ago, but im just looking to buy one for now, so which one should i buy first in the albums that The Frank mentioned to me ?
Brave new world
Dance of death
Powerslave
Seventh son of a seventh son
Piece of mind

personally, i'd say you can't really go wrong with any of them, but out of them the one i like least is seventh son, it's a good album but i just don't like it as much. i suppose i should listen to it more often though, it's got great songs on it.
erm, Piece of mind is awesome, especially To Tame a Land, but Brave New World is probably my favourite out of those albums.

So do y'all actually like the X-Factor? I was reading a special edition Hammer magazine on Iron Maiden and I got the impression everyone disliked the albums with Blaze as the front man. Actually, vocally I have to agree. Bruce is definitly awesome, but Blaze's voice fits the song increadably well. But then again, the version of Brucec singing Futureal that I saw involved Bruce, Steve Harris, and Adrian Smith fighting a giant Eddie puppet, so you've got to give that one props.

comparing albums is kinda stupid IMO because they are not the exact same style of music... album sounds always change, that's why they get different ratings no? Bands gotta stay fresh, and Iron Maiden IMO is hands down the BEST at keeping alive... I mean look... 25+ years and show no signs of slowing down! Keep rocking Maiden!
i saw Iron Maiden in Toronto this summer, christ were they ever good at putting on a show... i wish they made an album of it... they played songs from their first 4 albums and I wasn't disappointed with ANYthing played, though Mastodon opened and they weren't really that good.... their lead singer had a broken leg and looked like a viking lol... anyway so much energy at that concert... was anyone there? nice.
it's annoying Bruce didn't win, but he's the best Metal vocalist, and to be honest, he's way better than Freddie. it's just all the people out there (like Superpeer) voting freddie to make bruce lose that made that result :(
