it's still around, apparently. that site has really crap tracklists though, but the cds are still great quality / value. if you get an account on the site, then you can request it. at that price, you can't go wrong IMO, it includes delivery.

i did have my mates squier p-bass, that wasn't bad.

Ash - you could possibly make the first 10 years files smaller if you ripped them to a smaller bitrate, they're all at 320 kbs!

my first bass was a squier precision. It really wasnt that bad, i had it for like two years till it finnaly fell apart and i needed to buy one. But yah, once youve played something better then a squier, you can never go back......

Whenever i sugest some maiden the rest of the band agrees except for him. HE complains that he cant sing it, and the notes are to high. The worst partt is, after he puts down my ideas, he starts to tell us all to learn some alter bridge. What a fag.

Started off as 5...Me (lead guitar), another guitarist, bassist, keyboardist/bassist, and drummer.

So far, I think we've lost the other guitarist, and the bassist and drummer seem to have disappeared off the radar.

So now it's me, the keyboardist (who's a better bassist, by the way...thats what he does now :p ) and a drum machine. It's actually a lot easier to write...less people to argue about ideas.

Well us bassists can't all be in charge like Steve, huh? Remember, the first couple of months Bruce was in the band, he almost left because he and Steve kept clashing for the position at the front of the stage. Eventually they got along, so you just gotta keep asserting yourself.

for me, you cant really judge both of em. IMO their singing styles are way too different to be compared.

paul bruce and blaze were all good in the way they sang.

paul was aggersive and really got you pumped
bruce had a very very wide range allowing maiden to do anything
and blaze brought a whole new element to the band, the way he sang sounded imo more emotional then the others....

Fear of the Dark and Hallowed Be Thy Name I'd have to say. When you get the crowd singing along with the guitar melodies it's incredible. But Maiden manage to make everything sound awesome live.

I like the A Real Live One (also on Best Of The Beast) version best. The way they speed it up a little makes all the difference. The studio version and all others at that tempo are crap.

1st download attempt i get a message saying ''unexpected end of archive'' and i can't open any of the files.

2nd download attempt i get the same message but there are now only 2 files in the folder. anyone know what the hell is going on:confused:

ysi did it to me the other day with the PM mailing list, i can't remember how i sorted it though :confused:

EDIT: it doesn't download enough, says "Download Finished" at random amounts, like 12.1mb instead of the full 17.4mb. then you get the "Unexpected end of archive" message when you open it.

EDIT2: Ash, with that programme i sent you, you can select & convert multiple files at once, just in case you're doing them individually :p

Hay I was just listening to Hallowed be they Name (for about the 100th time - I love it to bits) and noticed this riff after the solo with a rhythm bit and then syncopation across the bar line. The riff is repeated 3 times. Now, this riff prolly stands out as being the worst part of the song to me. Normally Maiden uses synocopation across the bar line a lot and it fits really well, but this doesn't fit so well (even if it does flow on to the next part of the song nicely). Don't you think that when they first recorded the song, they would have played it back and thought, hang on a sec, this riff doesn't sound very good? What's that bit doing in the song???
