No, I downloaded it. I'd go buy it if I liked it, but the Production is all screwy. Janick is terrible, Dave isn't that great and you can't even hear H. I hope the DVD's better.

i suppose we could do that but it was Ubers idea to start Mxaiden so we should porbably consult him first.
Go for it.
If anyone sends me a guitar part or bass part I'll add my vocal to it. I'm not sure who's drumming atm, but using the HBTN drum track seems like a good idea. I just can't sing in key without an instrument for reference, if you know what I mean.

Apparently its
"What ho sed de t'ing wid de t'ree bonce. Don't meddle wid t'ings you don't understand."
or "Listen, said the thing with three heads. Don't mess with things you don't understand." Nicko says its his Idi Amin impresssion.
Apparently there's a backwards message on TMTM as well: "HA-HA bet none of you find this. Why on Earth are you listening to Iron Maiden? They Suck!"

woha... that sounded Messy... Who Plays what?
It's me, crag and you. The messyness is mainly due to the fact that; we didn't use some sort of drum track to keep in time, I can't mix for crap, it was the first time I've played POTO all the way through in about a month, I only made one attempt at it and a whole load of other things.
I know what's wrong with it and where I went wrong, so my next attempt at mixing/recording should be better.
At least you can tell what song it is, if you couldn't then I'd be screwed...:upset:

haha i actually found out something cool today and thought i would share it to you all.
when maiden played live at rainbow
when paul was in the band paul had said in the early days dvd
just before they went on stage he was in the dressing room
and he made up some new lyrics to killers. So the lyrics he wrote in the dressing room he came up and sang the same night.anyway, the lyrics in the rainbow version suggest that IM is the killers, while the studio version is just a story, but the rainbow version is a bit more indepth, so i like it more.
here the "newish" lyrics:
You Fight In The Street And You Make All Your Claims Every Night
You Turn On The Power To Burn Out The Weak Candle Light
We Will Stay Here!
You Pull Up Yourself And You Breathe
You Won't Stop Us!
While London Is Looking To Be
I Challenge Your Kingdom Of Those Which You Want To Succeed
I Step On Their Bodies And Squeeze, The Unholy Ones Bleed
We Have Found You!
And Now There Is No Place To Run
You Won't Stop Us!
'cause We Have The Power As One, As One!
I Can See
What A Life’s Meant To Be
You’ll Never Know
How I Came To Foresee
I Take You And Suck You 'till You Won't Cry Out Anything
I Beat You ,i Whip You 'cause I Have The Power With Me
You Have Found Us!
You Pull Up Yourself And You Breathe
We Torment You, I'm Looking For Rest, Don't You See?
he sings this on the bootleg i sent out
heh heh, i new he sang different lyrics but this is the first time i've seen them
-The Frank
10-17-2005, 08:08 AM

2 things. When they list who wrote the songs in the albums how do you kno who did what? eg. one song is Murray/Harris, whereas another is Harris/Murray? Why the difference? And does anyone know where you can get Maiden wallpapers for a mobile? I've found one site, but its rubbish.
the_uber_penguin
10-17-2005, 12:12 PM
I think Harris/Murray would be a song written by Steve, which Dave added ideas to, and Murray/Harris a Dave song with some of Steve's ideas added.
Smith/Dickinson/Harris tend to be Adrian's music, Bruce's words and some melody lines from Steve.
has anyone here ever signed up for the Mailing list on the Maiden site. i just remembered that i did it about a year ago and have never once got any e-mails from them

What is everyones favorite song off of Powerslave. Mine is either 2 minutes to midnight or Rime of the Ancient Mariner.
I used the latter for an english project two years ago. We needed to find a song about the short story Ryme of the Ancient Mariner. The song is pretty much a summary of the story.
Normally I would say ROTAM, but right now I'm really loving Powerslave. That and The Duellists; I love the instrumental section on the song.

I cant rememeber getting any either. Would have thought they would have done something when Death On The Road was released but they didnt. What do you prefer Can I Play With Madness on Death On The Road, or Donington. I used to prefer Donington, but now I'm not so sure...
donnington.....but the one on the maiden england video is my favorite of em all..........
favorties off poweslave: aces high, flash of the blace, the duelist, rotam, powerslave, and two minuites to midnitgh............so, prettty much the whole album.
my fave Powerslave song is by far RotAM but the TT is also great

Lots of the Rock In Rio setlist (or RiR as we know it) is from the Brave New World (BNW) album.
Their other classic albums are Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son (SSOASS), Number of the Beast (NotB) and we never seem to be able to decide on a third one.
If you want to hear stuff NOT on RiR, get Dance Of Death (DoD) which was written after that concert. That too is also an amazing album with some of their best songs on it.

I've just started recording with my band and have finished these two songs so far. What do you think of them? They are here (http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandid=144205). Dibs for guessing which part was ripped almost straight from Iron Maiden's style.

Of all the songs they had on Dance Of Death, which song would you say they should 'bring forward'? eg Brave New World looks like its the only song from BNW that will be played at every concert they do from now on. I reckon Journeyman. Paschendale's a better song but as those of you who saw them play Journeyman live will agree, that song is awesome when played live.

Hopefully you guys can help me with this: Recently I got far more Iron Maiden than I can deal with from some mp3 cds. I like them, but not to the extent that I want 17 hours of them. So, what 20 or 25 songs would you reccomend I keep in iTunes, to start me off? I'll keep the rest somewhere where every third song I listen to on random isn't Iron Maiden, until I'm ready to own every album they've ever released.
Also which of their live albums is best, I may aswell keep one of those too.
Also which of their live albums is best, I may aswell keep one of those too.
if you want us to tell you the 25 best songs your going to end up with every song they've wrote.:p
as for live albums i'd say Live After Death is their best.

Nah. Nicko has too much of a hairline.
The Adrian pic was scarily close, however.
And I want to marry the Dave picture.

Crag, we've been through all this before. Remember just after Reading I said I wanted to put Dave in my pocket and take him home with me?
Something sick and twisted to do with penguins also came up.
Come on, isn't Dave cute? Isn't he the one who's most likely to be a teddy bear in disguise?
EDIT:
/Takes over-dramatic, Monty Python-esque step to stand right next to Crag again./
Speaking of Monty Python, the most surreal thing at Reading Festival: just after Iron Maiden left the stage, "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life" come on over the P.A. There's something very strange about lots of metellers singing along to that.

Of all the songs they had on Dance Of Death, which song would you say they should 'bring forward'? eg Brave New World looks like its the only song from BNW that will be played at every concert they do from now on. I reckon Journeyman. Paschendale's a better song but as those of you who saw them play Journeyman live will agree, that song is awesome when played live.
i think rainmaker will be played alot....but yah mostly journeyman
also. to lord abortion or whoever wanted maiden england..............BUY IT NOW
