i'll do DoD tomorrow sometime, i cant be bothered to now.
i will give SiT some spins in my CD player to have more "In depth listening" of it, and i have to read some reviews of other album to see how its done :p
i have all my maiden cds saved on pc, so i listened to FOTD while reviewing it
i used to have that, but no more.
its the best way for me to listen to music while typing essays etc

I've already reviewed NOTB and Piece of Mind for the CD reviews forum, so it would be pretty easy for someone to just copy-and-paste my reviews into the official Maiden biography and credit me. Because I'm lazy and demand recognition, dammit!

Question:
D'annio (sp?) got kicked out because of alcoholism, why did Smith and Dickenson leave ???
Smith was annoyed at Maiden returning to their roots with No Prayer For The Dying. Harris wanted to make the album sound more like Piece Of Mind, but Smith wanted to continue with the direction they had begun with Seventh Son.
and bruce enjoyed making his solo album so much, he decided to leave and focus on a solo career. Jannick was suggested as a replacement for H as Jannick played on Bruce's first solo album.

anyone noticed that janick pretty much stands still when he plays his own solos? i noticed on blood brothers..

why is it on (i think) brave new world, he kinda twiddels his fingers as he draws his hand back from the guitar.
Also, on the back of the FOTD sleeve, Jannick looks like a tramp :)

Due to the rules, I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to post this,but... lol..... I love maiden, they're the greatest metal band, in my opinion. But i'm anti-racist, and Run to the hills sounds quite racist...
Is it racist, or anti-racist song? I've heard from some that it's anti-racist. What do you think?
It isn't rascist. It just discusses the plight of the American Indians when the English invaded their country.
The line, "The only good injuns are tame" is supposedly what the "cowboys" were saying. It doesn't reflect what Bruce and the guys personally thought about the Native Americans.

if you acctualy listen to the text of the song, you will see that they are changing between seeing it from the indians side, and from the europeans side.. it starts of "White Man came" right? so its a two way song...
also, i prefer Adrian as the guitarist, dunno why, its justt somthing about that guy's playing and stuff like that...

Rock In Rio is pretty good, I have the DVD. As for a good example of Maiden, get something way older like The Number Of The Beast, Peice Of Mind, or Powerslave. I'd recommend Powerslave out of the three, cause it'll appeal to you if you like DOD most likely.

Right, I know for a fact that Iron Maiden have had at least oe single at #1 in England at Christmas, but what song/s was it and what year/s? It came up in a conversation the other day, and i remeber Bruce saying something about it at Donnington in 2003

Found this though, it's quite weird Lowest-Selling Number One
Lowest selling No.1 in total since at least 1960 is Busted's 2004 offering "Who's David" which just cleared 71,000 copies (though this may be undercut by Ja Rule et al, "Wonderful" - see below). Runner up is Kylie Minogue's "Slow" (2003) which has approximately matched the previous record set in 1991 by Iron Maiden's "Bring Your Daughter... To The Slaughter". The latter's first week sales were roughly 42,000, second week 29,000, with a further 30,000 or so in the next few weeks bringing it to a total of around 100,000.
