IC or DW

Im in a bit of a pickle right now. Im shopping for a new hi-hat stand and iv narrowed it down to either an Iron Cobra Lever-Glide or a DW 5500TD Delta II Hi-Hat Stand. Right now i have a DW 7002 double pedal and i really like it, so i dont know if that means ill like the DW, but iv also heard nothing but good things about IC's. Help would be awsome

I would go with the DW myself. I'm not a huge fan of ICs and I've always loved the feel of DWs (pedals and stands). Smoothest stand I've played was that 5000 right there.

IC flexi Glide. The only thing i had to mess with on mine is cutting the hi hat rod, and that is no trouble. But its the best hi hat stand I ever played on

They are both top of the notch products, you can't say too much bad about either of them. It sounds like you haven't tried either or both of them out, so try getting into a store and seeing what you like the best.

I know, i like the way they look way more than the DW's, but im not gonna buy on looks.


And i did get a new one only about two months ago. It is a PDP two legged. But i got that one right after my first stand broke, and i wasnt thinking when i bought it. I didnt think that i would have to upgrade that one also.

You should try them out but me personally would say IC but it's the only one out of those two that I've tried.

lolol jks, I would pick a hi-hat stand for looks, becuase I really am not fussy about hi-hat stands at all lol, so if they are both well built , which ever one was more aesthetically pleasing would probably be my buy

Of course this does not apply to my choises of cymbals, or pretty much any other drum related product lol :)

I compared the IC's to all the other pedals in my local GC and the IC's were the smoothest and best of them all.

Well I remember someone posting this huge thing linking to an article about DWs and cobras and how the Cobras like never brake and how there were several poroblems wit DW5000s and 9000s, but I dunno if it's the same for hihats.
