I am leaving sputnik because I am tired of the elitist attitude of some of your staff and I'm tired of contributing positively to a site that asks it's users to care but really doesn't care about it's users. Nothing personal.

I enjoy your site and think it's a great thing. But I guess it's just not for me. I'll find another place to contribute whatever I can contribute. Perhaps at 25 I'm simply too old to put up with some of this nonsense. But I really can't write another review for sputnik.

I've had a big mouth and some hold that against me. Fine. But this is a message board and so far as I know big mouths are welcome. Or at least they should be.

I think tom79 would be a great replacement for me on staff if he is active enough. Or Bron-Y-Yor. Or whatever it is.

Here is the kind of person I am, Jeremy. I'm 25, I go to work everyday, I come home, and I do it again the next. Just like most people. I come here to contribute positively and maybe, just maybe, feel like I'm getting a little something in return. Not just from my fellow users but from the staff and the site. My experiences recently have shown me otherwise and in fact have been somewhat opposite. I come here to relax and have fun, not get wrapped up in a world of crap just because I request a replacement avatar or expect the sputnik staff to know The Who's new record should be a featured music review and say so. It's baby stuff.

So thank you Jeremy. Good luck with everything and I hope you get everything sorted with the hackings and things. I wish you luck and I look forward to taking advantage of whatever the rest of the forums may still have to offer me. If anything.....and Ill see the rest of you hobo's around the forums. Alright man. Look, I think you're overreacting. If you don't take this seriously, then you shouldn't care if people are elitist or whatever. Which generally isn't the case. You do realize that rock reviews currently can't be featured, yes? So, that's why there was no Who. And besides, if you wanted a bigger avatar, you should've gone to a mod that you interact with/have a good e-relationship with and asked for it in private. What are the mods supposed to do when users bombard the site forum with people asking for big avatars because you (or anyone else) got one?

It's kind of retarded to get in a tiff about situations like this, everyone gets misunderstood sometimes and we always run into miscommunications on this site. It's usually just a matter of needing to talk things through. It is difficult to decipher tone and intent through words alone, perhaps some harsh things were said and your words were interpreted in a way you didn't intend, but that's why people need to discuss things and not just up and walk away. You don't deserve special treatment but it doesn't mean your contributions aren't valued or we don't care about listening to you. Walking away from the site because of a dumb argument like this is silly. It's childish behaviour. Sorry the Who review wasn't featured, but unfortunately at the moment we can't feature rock reviews. This is something mx is looking to add, the featured system has changed and with the rotating system rock got left out because it didn't have a genre feature section in the first place. If you had understood this perhaps your rant would not have happened. If you had understood that we have requested to add rock and mx said he was working on it, perhaps your rant wouldn't have happened. If you had understood that two of the three old mods are really busy and not that active on the site right now, and two mods are brand new and don't understand exactly how the feature system works, perhaps your rant wouldn't have happened. We're willing to listen, but don't stalk off like a petulant four-year old. the attitude on sputnik is all about having a good impression with the rest of the users, instead of acutally posting as one's self believes. half of the reviews on this site are just lame, and the reviewers that wrote them are even worst.

Moz, I have no issues. That's my whole point. You guys are fine. I haven't complained really. I'm just giving up, basically. I think you know I'm not on some sort of crusade. Those days were gone when I came to sputnik. I just don't like the back and forth B.S. Why the hell do I (we) have to be treated like we should keep our heads down and shut up?
